my special interest is in the nissan gtr lm . hope you have details of
performance modifications nissan have carried out for le mans. in standard
form these are incredible performance cars. although i do not own one i
certainly aspire to one day being able too. at present i own a collectable
australian supercar which will be the ticket into the road version gtr.
if there is any cost associated with this page to either you or i please
disregard as i am a 1st time user of the internet i am not quite sure of
the nessecary requirements. my main interests are automotive & i have a
large collection of motor publications,magazines,brochures,etc

Fun to finally find a site not related to Nascar.

97 will be my 8th staggering attempt at leaving the Champagne Cork and
looking at some cars. Based in the U.S., it's always nice to kick off
the summer with a little trip over to the Brickyard. "Double Vision",
as it has come to be known (Indy/LeMans), will once again loom its ugly
head this year. Look for the 500 shirts at the Champagne Cork or in the
dirt somewhere around that general area.

1997 will be my 3rd year at Le Mans. It's a fantastic experience and
seems to get better each year. I think there were about 60 of us last
year who went down with the Kent area Jaguar Drivers club. I took my
Sierra! We camped in the 'Vert' camping area. I think it's called vert
because of the sea of green beer bottles left after the event. The
camping bit is like the Glastonbury festival - without so much music.

you for some reason can't get more pictures of this dominating piece

like it's going to happen. Guess I'll stay up another 24 hours monitoring yours and
other related sites since TV coverage in this country (USA) is so weak.

BTW, I've been working on a "board game" based on this race for more than 10 yrs.
I picked up on it again about 3 months ago and am focusing hard to finish it. It's
really going to be exciting when it's finished.

I hope to attend the 24 Hours in '98
I need to get the Nikon's out for some images for the game.

say hello. We anticipate being there most of the week. Just hope the
Riley survives its VSCC races prior to Le Mans.

Great site - obviously run by true enthusiasts.

'97 will be my 16th consecutive year at Le Mans - an awesome weekend,
which I never tire of. Once again I'll be joining USA Le Mans devotees
Dave and Fax for the Indianapolis 500 in May, and they'll be flying to
Europe to join us for Le Mans in June. My Indy 500 travelling partner,
Matt Harper is another Le Mans veteran worthy of an endurance medal
(for his attendance record and tireless communication, but mainly for
his outrageous drinking capacity and purple vest).

Can't bloody wait!

Tip of the weekend: Take your own toilet roll (soft, preferably that
quilted 4-ply stuff), plus pack twice as many pairs of underpants than
you thought you might need.

I have been to Le Mans for the past 10 years. It is an excellent event
well worth going to even if you are not a motor racing fan.
The atmosphere is electric. Don't forget to take a radio for
"Radio Le Mans", it makes all the difference in knowing what is
going on.

Take care near Argentan if you are driving down on the Friday, the
French police alway set up speed traps and its an on the spot fine,
I know from bitter experience.

See you there in 97.
