Thank you. Le Mans received very little coverage in the U.S.
this year and the 9 hour time difference doesn't help.
It was great to have your report.

Charlie Boyer (Drive951@aol.com) on Sun Jun 16 21:27:27 BST 1996

I was happy to find your page. I wish the updates had been more frequent
 - it would have helped if I were there, too!

Thanks for supplying the info to those of us who couldn't make it to
cheer on the Porsches...

my coverage of the race had to come off the internet reports, as we
had nothing in the way of t.v. coverage in our area of the northwest
 u.s. thank you again.

Our local newspapers dont't devote much ink to racing overseas,
other than F1.
I have been interested in Le Mans for quite some time and enjoy
watching (whenever possible) and reading the results.
I hope that I can find out what made Mario so upset.

Trevor Day (tcday@dis.on.ca) on Wed Jun 19 03:15:10 BST 1996

You could not possibly believe what a well kept secret Le Mans is
in North America. Thank you for making this info available to
us out here in the colonies.

---------------------------------------------------------
James A. Oliver (jaoliver@eos.ncsu.edu) on Wed Jun 19 18:55:34 BST 1996

You've got an excellent website. Le Mans coverage in the states is
almost nonexistent, so I appreciate what you have done. Oh, I just
bought a copy of the movie Le Mans, which I've been watching over
and over in lieu of the real race. Thanks again.

---------------------------------------------------------
Ray Pinchin () on Thu Jun 20 12:44:52 BST 1996

1996 was the 14th time I have been to Le Mans and the 10th year in
succession. The experience is fantastic and different each year - hot
and sunny this year, wet last year. I would not miss it for the
world.

The atmosphere in the camp sites (and carparks especially Garage Blue)
is a wonderfully friendly. Here's to 1997.

(I wonder if the livery of Noel Edmond's entry next year will pink
with yellow spots and the drivers will be called Blobby!)

---------------------------------------------------------
Thom Taggart (tatagg@aol.com) on Thu Jun 20 18:32:27 BST 1996

much media coverage of this premier race event !!!! Keep up the good work.

---------------------------------------------------------
John Dubrey (johndubrey@rdl.co.uk) on Mon Jun 24 12:08:33 BST 1996

John Brooks writes the perfect article. Informed and opinionated, he is so much
better than the reports in Autosport, Motoring News and Motor Sport (are you reading
this Mike Cotton?).They write as if they are bored with the whole thing and they
would rather have been at the Canadian GP (what a bore that was?)

I look forward to reading his insights on the world of GT racing in some "official"
journal in the future.

Gary Bumfrey (G.Bumfrey@kfa-juelich.de) on Mon Jun 24 17:24:38 BST 1996

allan r. duggan (al_duggan@mindlink.bc.ca) on Tue Jun 25 06:23:27 BST 1996

Greetings race fans!!
Great page. Have had no results for Le Mans in western Canada until
now. Was in Montreal for F1 on 16th, rather lack luster I'm afraid,
Damon ran away with it! Hope one day to get to Le Mans, until then
will visit your site regularly. Thanks for the great job.

I am a hard core Le Mans fan but living in the States makes it very hard to
keep in touch with goings on during those incredible 24hrs, case in point
I missed the race this year. Well enough complaining. If anyone out there

I hope that you can continue into 1997.

like to get a copy to keep my collection going (I have the tv coverage
back to `88; plus several of the Glory Days series ran on ESPN about

This is the story. I´m mexican and I live in Mexico. I´m not such a big fan of
the 24 hours nor the World Sportscar Championship. But this is because there is
no media coverage of the events here. Anyway, I have a question. I´ve been
informed that the popularity of the WSC is decrasing real badly. Is it true? Why?

AWESOME site! I'm very happy to see that I'm not the only one who is "awed" by Le Vingt-Quatre Heures du Man. I first
heard about the race when I was 13. I saw Steve McQueen's flick Le Mans. That film
had such an impact on me that it actually altered the course of my life.

I got interested in road racing which got me interested in photography,
which got me interested in Special Effects, which got me into Multi-Image
(Multi-projector slide presentations, not Multi-Media ), which eventually
got me interested in Special Effects for print (magazines, brochures etc.,).

Along the way I created a game based on the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Unfortunately it's not finished. I've been working on it, on and off,
for almost 10 years. Thanks to your web site, I have resurfaced it once
again.

I currently have 2 web sites of my own. My current artsy one is:

http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/7291/

I have another which contains many endurance type racing images as well
as a little F1 but It's not ready to be unleashed to the world yet.

I really enjoyed reading about everyone's experiences. It was very helpful.
I (now 35 yrs old) have not been to Le Mans as yet. However, I married a
French woman who works for Air France and has a brother who lives just
outside of Paris so a visit to the Greatest Grand Prix of Endurance in
the World is inevitable.

Have an AWESOME day!
Mark
