Live Updates
Sunday 12:00 - 14:00

Four hours to go, almost two Grand Prix in distance, surely the grand prix drivers and teams provide scant value in comparison.

12.10 the leader pits, driver change to Kristensen with new tyres, leaves without problems. Coronel stops the Dome, takes fuel and leaves

12.25 the second place Audi stops and Capello takes over with new rubber, as we have become accustomed a faultless stop.

Currently the survivors are motoring to a finish, the gaps are such that place changes on speed alone are not likely, having completed 21 hours few wish to risk a finish but still the chance of a mistake from tired crews may bring these last three hours to life. It is notable that the experienced crews are here at the finish. Joest, Oreca, Freisinger and Seikel in fact all the finishing cars are run by very experienced teams.

The Dome has just completed a nine minute gearbox change, it maintains its position but the 6 Cadillac my feel they have a chance, tired cars and tired crews.

13.24 the Panoz Mugen is in the pits, electrical, The film cars have both disappeared, the Leader is out with no gearbox but the Vaillante was pushed into the garage apparently fit so we might expect some entertainment here.

Twenty one hours and four Judd V10 still apparently very healthy, The five litre Judd is due to have its first race in the Doran Dallara at the Watkins Glen six Hours. The engine has much greater torque and a bit better economy but slightly less power, several teams are watching with interest. Another engine that is due to rise from the ashes is the Zytek engine last seen in the Panoz LMP07. John Nielsen a visitor here hopes to have the "Reynard" 675 out probably in the ALMS later this year with a reduced capacity version of this engine.

Cadillac number seven is in the pit garage to change the starter motor, it has lost a place to the Corvette leading the GTS class.

13.45 the Vaillante emerges and a few more feet of pit lane film before pushing the car back in to the garage.

13.51 The Dome pits for new tyres and Jan Lammers.

13.56 crowded in the GM pits, the 7 Cadillac emerges and 6 arrives and front body is removed, both Corvettes are also in.

14.00 The order is; Kristensen Capello, Werner, Leitzinger, Comas, Minassian, Dalmas, Lammers, Tinseau, Bourdais. No change in any of the classes. Another routine Audi stop for the 2 Audi.
