The No. 2 Audi comes in for a pit stop. There is a small puff of smoke but it's seemingly meaningless.
No. 63 leaves the pits finally after a lot of work and a replacement rear diffuser.
No. 6 goes out on intermediates.
The No. 72 Porsche comes in for a routine stop.
No. 79 has been in the pits for a long time but is getting close to being ready to go out again.
The No. 62 Saleen is up on jacks with a "dropped valve or something." They are going to look and see what they can do.
No. 74 comes in for a driver change and is catching the GT leader.
There are a lot of damaged cars around and the weather is becoming much colder again.
No. 74 goes back out with Luc Alphand driving. It's a lap down on the class leader.
No. 21 comes back in again and is pounced on by the mechanics. It may have a gearbox problem and is pushed into the garage.
No. 14 is going faster than the Audis at the moment.
No. 63 Corvette is having troubles with the driver change because the door won't shut properly.
No. 17 pits for a routine sort of stop and a driver change for Jean-Christophe Bouillon to take over.
No. 38 is taking on tyres, which still have the labels on them they are so new.
No. 14 comes in for a driver change. Ara gets out and lets Ni Amorim take over. A number of checks are made on the car too.
The No. 38 Reynard is in having debris removed, and coolant added as well before returning to the track.
The Saleen No. 60 makes a stop for slicks and fuel and swaps Gavin for Konrad. The other Saleen (No. 62) may be ready to go back out.
Babini sets the fastest race lap for Porsche No. 83 and is closing on the class leader at about 7 seconds a lap.
Oliver Gavin: "Out on the track the biggest challenge was just now. I was dying for a piss and the team wanted me to stay out for another stint. It's been a real topsy-turvy 15 hours. We had an upright fail about an hour ago. Apart from that it's been a dream to drive, really simply."
The No. 76 PK Sport car is due for a stop soon. It does and goes out again.
The No. 30 WR has pit stopped again.
There is a suggestion that Sebastien Dumez won't be driving the No. 80 car any more today as he is not well.
The No. 1 Audi comes in for a pit stop. It's smoking from the left side of the engine when the speed limiter cuts in but no one seems worried. He gets fuel and goes out again despite the efforts of the team to clean some of the bodywork.
The No. 16 car pits from 4th place and the No. 6 Cadillac, which is fighting it, comes in too. No. 6 has trouble starting again.
The No. 38 Reynard, which has overheating problems, comes in early and they take the engine cover off. They have to keep refilling and they had to cut new pieces of pipe for the system.
No. 8 Bentley comes in for a driver change, fuel and tyres and Eric van de Poele takes over. He stalls on the way out and has to try again.
No. 82 Seikel Porsche comes in.
No. 64 is in again for a pit stop.
The No. 2 Audi makes a routine stop. Aiello changes from intermediates to slicks and leaves amid puffs of smoke from the engine.
There are no more Judd-engined cars left in the race although the Ascari team are not going to retire the No. 21 car but will send it out for the last half hour.
Aiello is being called in by his crew and the team are waiting for him to come back.
