02:03 #16 Chrysler Playstation is in and had a new ignition system fitted.

02:04 The #36 Dick Barbour Reynard has found a sure fire (ha!) way of waking up
the entire media centre at this ungodly hour … set fire to the car and drive it from the
safety of the circuit into a pit lane full of people and fuel!! Quite cheery sort of blaze
to warm you hands by .. no real panic .. but thanks for doing it in the night it really
was most spectacular.
Oh yes … they have retired the car …or what was left of it.

02:04 #1 Audi in for 90 secs .. still a very slick operation this! Can't argue with it.

02:05 #70 out of the pits again .. no massive delays this time.

#58 Chrysler in for five minutes.

02:09 #30 WR in routine pit…

02:13 #2 takes over the lead from number #1

02:14 #8 & #9 105 secs all routine stuff.

02:16 #58 back in .. Labre car .. why we know not, but all is not well..

#62 Saleen routine stop

02:20 race leading #2 car is in and into garage rear body up and into the door way to
stop prying eyes .. this looks like one of their high speed back end changes .. but not
that high speed .. new back end has arrived …and on it goes .. we make it sound it
easy .. this should take about three minutes and they are roughly on target. Bodywork
back on reversed out of garage .. jacks are down …. Fuel in .. out in 6 mins 23 secs!

02:22 #63 Corvette into pits routine stop about 90 secs.

02:29 #15 is in.. gone into garage for a bit of maintenance.. looks like a big job, front
and rear covers off. Not sure what is going on with the #14 sister car .. we think it is
still in but we don't know why.

#80 Larbre Porsche ..in seems routine .. back out .. four and a half mins.

MG #33 has now been in for an hour..

The nice chaps from Chrysler are not all that cheery .. #14 would not start .

02:37 #60 into pits.

#60 back out routine stop.

#14 now up and running.. only one headlight is working , so it got a smack and now
works again and away … took 15 mins ..

#38 ROC Reynard spins and back on track

#60 Saleen going slowly … just had pit stop .. maybe Franz Konrad may be simply
playing himself in?

#17 Pescarolo.. has just emerged and is out again.

#8 Bentley in third place and is lapping five seconds a lap than the Audis.

02:44 #32 into pits and away

#15 Chrysler mechanics stopped working on the car … so that may be that.. all over.
It is now official.. cause ..a broken valve.

#32 Lola in and out routine stuff.

#33 It was leaking stuff …basically an oil leak .. they thought it was coming out of a
split in the oil tank… this is a huge job .. Chamberlain would like to have welded it
but they were stopped because it is illegal! … now they have had to make a patch.

02:49 … #64 in driver change , new tyres …back out routine.

Rather impressed that the Ascari is running fifth overall…
