Afternoon Session

At the conclusion of the testing today Audi still have the fastest time but now with the factory car #2 by Kristensen with a time of 3:32.42. The Johansson car ran quickly again but failed to bring down times as much as the others and was left high and dry in 6th spot. The other customer Audi of Champion racing put in a creditable 3:33.205 to make second fastest.

Bentley #7 (Brundle/Ortelli/Smith) impressed us by running fast and staying fast, ending the test in 3rd position with a 3:34.050. A really lovely car to look at and quick right out of the box. The #8 Bentley took the 7th fastest time.

In 4th place was the Racing For Holland Dome (Lammers/Hillebrand/Crevils) with a time of 3:34.883. After looking ragged this morning it put in some fast laps by Lammers.

The MGs continued to spend much of the time in the pit garage with gremlins. One made some flying laps late this afternoon but only a 3:53 and 5th in class (LMP675) and 25th overall.

Panoz have a development nightmare. The new car and engine package is not working as well as expected and they will need to work some magic by June to put things right.

The Roc and Dick Barbour Reynards dominated LMP675 with Claudia Hurtgen in the Roock - Knighthawk Lola-Nissan in 4th spot.

The Saleens had it in LMGTS and Friesinger took fastest LMGT time.

The #83 Seikel Motorsport had an incident at the Ford Chicane with the Rowan Pilbeam #35. The Pilbeam was walking wounded but the Porsche failed to continue.

Cadillac #5 had a trip to the gravel towards the end of the session. The end of a lacklustre day for GM with the Corvettes outclassed as well.
