The Dick Barbour #83 car that finished 13th overall and first in the LM GT class had fuel cell too large by 6 liters (roughly one lap of the Le Mans circuit) as determined by the committee of the Sporting Commission of the Le Mans 24-hours. It appears that Barbour has chosen not to fight the ruling. This is a big blow for the team and for Porsche. This means that the #73 Taisan Porsche is now the winner of the LM GT class.
The overall standings have are now CHRYSLER VIPER No. 57 in 13th overall with all the subsequent cars moving up one position. The list below shows the original finishing positions.
