As Rex says, the water comes as a dehydrated powder. Your local chemist (Boots?) may stock it but you are probably more likely to find it at Halfords or your local camping shop. It's just a shame that Woolworths aren't around anymore. Smiley

wasn't that all stopped after the Elsan debacle

Loose cannons containing "that blue liquid" rattling unsecured around the fuselage were never a pretty sight or smell....

Reminds me of a Stephen Wright line

Bum burglers perhaps Grin

It will be incase someone tries to steal your expensive dehydrated water!

But why do you need to be 18 to buy it?

If you are talking about the dehydrated water. It's because a certain amount of maturity is needed when handling the stuff. Could you imagine what would happen if a pile of the powder was left out in the rain? Sheesh! Some people Roll Eyes

I bought one of these showers a couple of years ago and it worked really well.  I ended up using it to empty out a rather large paddling pool with it in the end (before water but pumps became available) and it broke after several hours... The amazon one is fairly expensive, but if the price comes down I'd be tempted to get one again with the solar shower to warm the water, as the showers this year were almost unbareable...

here is the linky I gave earlier on, available from the uk and very good it is too.

I'm sure a turd burglar alarm would have its pros and cons. Not least the wiring arrangements.
I do however, quite like the idea of a bugler alarm.
Whether it's to give an early warning of a rude round of a 'Reveille', or a tip to get your pac-a-mac on sharpish, I think it'd be a winner.
