gaz, as far as my racing calender is concerned, it's a must. My plans for 2010 are pretty much nailed already with the exception of waiting for the flights to be at their cheapest.
The racing is better in my mind as it's a lot shorter track than Le Mans, so you are seeing cars all the time and within half an hour of the start there are a total mix of the different classes all around the track so lots more overtaking.
Viewing is superb, with many areas having catch fencing no higher than your waist while you are only 15 feet from the track.
The paddock is open to everyone, all the time, and IIRC everyone can go on the starting straight up to one hour before the start of the race. On Friday lunchtime, ALL the drivers (including some very special ones from Turn 10) take part in an autograph session in the paddock.
Ice is readily available at the track but is cheaper at the supermarkets or liquor stores. Or the self service ice machine we found by the petrol station last year was evn cheaper!
Having been in a tent and in an RV, I'd definatley say the RV is the way to go. Rick Cutler hired one for a very reasonable deal last year. I believe it was from Cruise America in Orlando. Couple of tips, they won't let you hire the camper the same day you land in Orlando, and don't go for their bedding hire option, it's cheaper to buy a duvet/sleeping bag and throw it away.
As for where to camp, there are purchasable spots on the home straight and through corner 1 with fantastic views off the roof, but they are circa $400 I think. A standard RV pass for Green Park is something like $80. If you go for that option, I'd head towards Turn 10, where you won't find a better body of men to share your racing experience with.
How long is it until March??
As for the Aston, I pleaded with Dave Richards to take it to Sebring and all he said was "we'll see", but he did promise he'd be back at Le Mans with them next year!
