Hey Smiley, new member here, but been a member of midweek motorsport radio le mans collective, and autosport forums for ages..
I had hoped to get the eurostar to le mans, but didnt order tickets till i got my passport, thats been a big mistake, as tickets are now 225 each way Sad

so im hoping i can hook up with someone or a group and get a lift.. mostly i just need a lift from a ferry to le mans, as i can get the train to the port in the UK quite cheaply, or wherever a kind chap/chappette would like to meet Smiley

also need a lift back for the return leg Smiley. im happy to pay a reasonable amount, and if im going, im intending to get a kangaroo tv, and take my camera, so im happy to share them and take pics for people Smiley

id prefer if possible, to get there for wednesday practise, but im happy with whatever i can get Smiley

luggage wise, im thinking a medium sized backpack and a wheely case thing, if that matters Smiley

and my name is paul menard, so u can find me on facebook Smiley. ill be traveling from the swindon area, but can meet anywhere where theres a train station nearby, pretty much Smiley

We'd have been your best bet as we're in Bristol but we're not going this year.

It might help if you say what day you want to go out to see who's plans you might fit into.

Good luck!

Have you looked at Raileurope - http://www.raileurope.co.uk/Default.aspx?tabid=36 ?  They are showing fares from £144.00 St Pancreas to Le Mans return.  I did a Weds out / Mon back search.  Might be a fallback position should you not manage to get a lift from the lovely people on here.   Smiley

You're either at Le Mans, or waiting for Le Mans!

I too have a spare seat as its just me on the way out but also have Canada Phil with me on the way home.

Going from Portsmouth on Wednesday evening at 23.00 hrs and returning on Monday. Will be going on the A34 past Newbury down to Portsmouth.

However the return leg is from Dieppe to Newhaven so will be going round the M25 on the way home to drop Phil off at Heathrow so you need to get a train from somewhere like either Heathrow or Oxford back to Swindon on the return journey.

Let me know if you are interested.

Regards
Chris
