Le Mans - Follow the Carbon Footprints!

View Profile
« on: May 22, 2009, 07:04:26 pm »

Does anyone know what the area coverage will be like for Kangaroo TV this year?
Had it last year and it was excellent, but not sure if it worked much further away from circuit than Karting Nord!

We are in Pincenardiere this year - do you know if it will receive there?
Anyone with any experience last year - did it work in Arnage or even Mulsanne?

Thanks
Dean

Mods - move this to HELP if you think it is more appropriate

Anyone..............?

Vegas is the man you need to talk to, but he's at the Ring this weekend.
One of his party had a one last year, and I think they tried it at the further spots on the circuit.

No it didn't work at Arnage or Mulsanne, last year it worked from Tertre Rouge untill the bottom of MB for me.

Why don't you send the people at kangarooTV an e-mail to see how things are for 2009?

Coverage varies massively. Apparently the teams are being told that coverage is only guaranteed in the Paddock! But I'm sure that's them just being a bit careful.

A bigger problem though is that it might not be Radio le Mans on the sets. Doesn't that mean there'd be no English? I asked the guys at RLM and they said they didn't have an agreement to supply Kangaroo. And that was only last week!

We had no problem with coverage at Tertre Rouge, at Houx Annexe, in the village, on the T19 grandstand and at the bottom of Maison Blanche.

So assuming that Kangaroo TV won't use a lesser set-up than last year, I think it's safe to say that you can expect coverage from Tertre Rouge untill the Porsche Curves.

Because last year's setup worked fine, why change it?

or have you any indication that KangarooTV will downgrade their setup for 2009?

No offense delaney64 but you say KangarooTV will might not supply english commentary, will have a downgraded setup and are in financial difficulties?

That's a whole lot just to take your word for.

StuartC: KangarooTV has a booth at the track where you can rent them, they come with 2 batteries, a charger and earplugs.
Also you can exchange empty batteries for full ones.
Also you can reserve one online here:
