Place your bets.  Pacquiao looks a solid favorite, at least with the odds makers.

I think every round beyond the first diminishes Hatton's chances.

Don't discount our Hatton, he has hidden depths of strength.

Oof.  I was rooting for Hatton.  Didn't seem to help much.  Tongue

Here's the whole fight, if anyone's interested:

You called it Chop. Hatton's reputation is somewhat tarnished in my eyes, fighting on past your prime simply for a Vegas pay day is a bit mercenary IMO.

On the other side of the coin, if someone offered you £x million for 5 minutes in the ring, would you say no?  I know there is the dignified exit but it must be a hard thing to say no to.

Now he definitely has to quit though...

I too was one of the many mugs who paid Sky £14.63 (Why the hell the figure of £14.63 was charged I dont know! round down £14.50 or up to £15.00 seems a smoother transaction to me!) I dont usually buy the hype but this one hooked me. (excuse the pun) I really thought Hatton would have put on a better show and used some of the strategy they promised, he just reverted back to being a "banger" and paid the price with the far superior skills of Pacman evident.

He must surely now retire, he still has a huge respect for his past acchievments.

Probably due to the "temporary" reduction in the rate of VAT. If you calculate the above price at the usual 17.5% rate, it equates to £14.95, which I seem to remember was the normal rip off for an event.

OK, I made a mistake. He didn't have reserves.

He should retire now.............

Fourteen and a half pounds is a bargain compared to what Direct TV (a US satellite service) wanted.  They were asking about sixty bucks for the fight.

^ I was thinking the same thing.  I believe it was either $49 or $59 on DishNet and cable.  Pretty standard for a marquee fight.  £15 seems a relative bargain.
