We seem to have forgotten to sort the parking permit, and it looks like we may have left things a bit late. Last year bought a Rouge parking permit online from the ACO site, good car park for the price. Unfortunately the site is now saying unavailable (sold out?). Is it possible that the ACO sell a certain number of tickets in advance and then keep the rest for purchase on the weekend? (I seem to recall hearing something about this last year). There was absolutely loads of space in Rouge last year. Any advice greatly appreciated as we have everything else sorted, but without somewhere to park we are somewhat screwed.

Park downtown, or at carrefour, then take the tram to the circuit. Or just try your luck at the gates of rouge! Blue and blanc are usually sold out, so would not try those.

Do what the locals do and stick the car on a verge somewhere and walk the rest of the way.

Park downtown, or at carrefour, then take the tram to the circuit. If you do that make sure you leave nothing in your car or it will be removed for you and I'm telling you this from experience Alternatively you could try the parking next to the tramway near Antares.

Thanks for your replies. Got a permit online from the ACO for Rainieres, which suits our location.

Where is Rainieres car park?
According to the ACO, it's 800 metres walk from the main entrance, alongside the N23 - the dual carriageway which interchanges with the roundabout near the Rotonde. Only open Saturday and Sunday.

Where is Rainieres car park? It's not so much a question of where it is Barry. It nestles in a well hidden bleak landscape of cold pines and damp ferns. Somehow, even when everyhere else is enjoying bright warm sunshine, a chilled grey dank mist hangs around the marshy hollows, wrapping itself around the old gnarled tree trunks. A dark brown fetid stream stills itself in stagnant pools that twist around the peat bogs. There is no birdsong or animal chatter, and any sound made seems to be cut short in a muffle. At night, the very geography seems to rearrange itself in the clammy darkness. It's a good place for a murder. H

Have you ever thought or writing a book H? I'm sure whatever the genre it would be a good read.

I would not worry. In the past we were always able to buy Parking Rouge on the gate. Other alternative: Just go to the booking office once you arrive at LM and I'm sure they'll provide you with something Cheers Werner

If it's any use to anyone, apparently there are still tickets for Rouge parking available, you just have to send your order to the ACO via email of fax. Don't ask me why, there seems to be no logic to it, but thats what I've found out from the ACO office.
