... when the ACO shuts the public roads prior to Qualy on Thurs Huh

Need to get to BN from Mulsanne for 1500 (BM AGM) on Thursday. I'm working on the theory that the roads will still be open for the trip over (3 miles) & they will be shut for our return at 17.00, which will mean a 6 miler back Shocked

Most kindly ta for your help in advance Grin

What and when the ACO will do is not an exact science.

Given that one will not be able to drive out to Arnage or Mulsane except via the Shuttle bus there will be changes to the traffic arrangements.

Your best plan is to expect the unexpected.   Be prepared for your planed route to be barred.  So make sure you have plenty of fuel on board.

You must be able to drive to and from because the ACO are flogging tickets to park at the corners during the race.
My understanding is that the carparks at A & M are free on Wednesday and Thursday.
Or am I having a senior moment?

Thx T!

We'll be on les bikes, so only fuel needed will be liberated from BN via my rather large gob Grin

Hope it's hot, so on the way back, I don't have stop every 50 metres to 'splash me boots!' Roll Eyes

Sorry Barry, I've not explained it very clearly. Planning to use circuit to get to BN from Mulsanne as it's the most direct route. Once the ACO shut the 'public' bits of the circuit major detours will be required Roll Eyes

It was Tom's comments about only being able to use the shuttle bus that has confused me.

I'm positive that it will be shut at that time for sweeping etc. I seem to remember coming back from the Carrefour last year around 2pm on the wed or thurs and the Mulsanne was shut.

(Unless that was the Sunday..... Grin Grin)

Once the timetable comes out they publish the times: "fermature du circuit" or sommat like that. Normally an hour before the support races etc start.  Tough to know in advance this year as things are so different without pq, but normally it's around lunchtime.

I'm sure that we were caught last year, as we went shopping after breakfast, probably about noon, and it was all shut on the way back.  I have a feeling it differs between Wednesday and Thursday too
