Hiya,
I know there are many CA'ers not going this year but has the nations gloom and doom got in anongst us? CA is usually buzzing at this time of year as the big week away approaches- this year things seem, well a little flat IMO. Where is everyone? It's so quiet and I need to get my excitement juices flowing.  Undecided

Well there is a lot not happening this year compared to previous years.

Obviously few people going due to the recession.
No Pre-Qualifying.
The new server seems to cope well so no threads about poor server performance.
I think Werner has the CA Guide under control and a band of helpers so they may be less talk there.
No Commer this year.   Sad Sad  So no progress reports on that.
Not being able to go though lack of funds etc will depress folk so they won't feel like posting amusing tit bits.

just my 2d worth.

The pounds even got a bit stronger just to help a bit.

Took out all the camping kit on saturday for a bit of a clean up - top anything that has been used or fire damaged.

Gave the Genny it's final shakedown.

Watching the 24 Moto on Saturday also.

Meeting with crew next weekend to finalise details.

BRING IT ON.................

Well thats a bit better Wink Its just very quiet these days, loads of people missing from the forum considering its getting near. Its lacking that spark that made one get a shiver of excitement every time you logged in.

Well the Posts and New topics are relevant but I actually doubt the use of comparing "Most users" on line.  Unfortunately search engines crawling the site count as users.  Given the new server is much faster than the old one the search engines will be in and out much faster.  So it may appear that there are fewer visitors.

New members is perhaps more interesting.    March last year we had 22 new members compared with 11 this year.
However, if we look at the first Quarter.  Last year we had 72 new members this year 88 new members have joined.
Also if you look a page views in March 2008 it was 213207 this year it was 326684.

Ahhh... Statistics!  there great you can make them say what ever you want.  :-)

Also as time goes by we build up a larger bank of information so may newcomers  don't have the need to ask so many questions so not so many replies.
