The Balfe Mosler ran out of fuel just past the bus stop chicane. From there it's still a long way to the finish line. Once it was around La Source the track is going down hill again so that it rolled down the hill over the finish line with the engine not running. I was at the main grand stand at that moment and was a bit puzzled why it was moving that quietly when the Goh Audi did a burn out whilst crossing the line
. Balfe's bad luck was Rollcentre's good luck because Joao Barbosa (what a star, a constant 2:26 per lap) catched up whith the fuel saving Balfe Mosler and took the lead (in GT) during the last lap of the 6 hour race (exciting indeed !!!). Nevertheless, the descision to keep on going instead of refueling has secured Balfe Motorsport the second place. The DeWalt Tuscan was just 2 laps down and may have catched up with them if they came in for refueling. Actually, I think I have a picture of the car creaping over the line.
