Rusty will be on the ball soon - he's had a (close) family bereavement, and will be busy for a the next week or so.
In the meantime, I'm just throwing ideas in. The latest pic is just possible with 4 colours (a practical limit) - blue, orange, green and black - the no. 5 DB1 that won in '59 did not have the yellow piping anyway!! Also, I realised that the first pic with the DB1 and DB9, the circuit is mirrored upside down, but it is OK in the last one, except that it is pre 2002.
The objective is to keep the pic in 'portrait' as opposed to landscape format for a better fit on the shirt .

Yes, I know the Aston's British but do we have to have a bloomin' great Union flag on it? Sorry, don't like that at all. I for one wouldn't wear a British flag, as I don't live there and hate having a large label on saying "Je suis une Anglaise." No thanks.

I agree with Termie. We might as well all wear Doc Martins and braces. The "1959 / 2009" 50 year theme is a great idea.

Don't you already have Doc Martins and braces Steve? I thought all white British people were members of the National Front or the BNP at the very least. Anyway, back to the design and, being objective for a moment, the gulf colours clash quite badly with red and blue (by clash I mean that when I look at the image the car tends to get lost) and I think the car would look better on its own. Also think one car looks better than both, expecially given the colour limitations of the printing process. Just my 2.25409 Euro Cent's worth (at the current exchange rate)

We couldn't have the car and the flag anyway - too many colours.
But keep the comments and suggestions rolling. We'll probably end up with a poll anyway and go with the majority.

I'm with Termie here. The shirts should have a Le Mans connection. If the flagpole is on the left, your Union Flag is upside down, Del.

Not my pic, Chris, but you are correct - I hadn't noticed. All I did was to Photoshop the flag out. Del

How about the 2 car design but with the 59 car as a period type monotone and the p1 car in colour, I gather from historical programmes on TV the world was mostly monotone in 59 anyway!

Just my 2.25409 Euro Cent's worth (at the current exchange rate) What a pity we're all so concerned about our nationality. I've never seen the Dutch or the Danes afraid to wear their national colours proudly. Im proud to be British and whilst I'm not one for forcing it in peoples faces, especially when I'm a guest in their country, I don't have any qualms about people knowing where I'm from or that I'm happily supporting Aston. Anyway, just my humble response. Having said all that the big Union Flag is a little "in yer face" and I'd prefer something a little more subtle.

Sorry, you're all wrong.
The Aston is English, not British.

Think back to the 2003 Bently T shirt, it had a Union Jack blowing in the wind with the car centre and looked fantastic using just 4 colours. The AM is made in Britain so why not be proud to support this?
