Danica is, I believe, the only woman ever to have won a major single-seater race - at 3-Ring Motegi last year. She performs well within the slightly weird racing that Indycars provide. As for the pic, well, being a racing driver she's far too thin to be interesting!

It's being polite to call the IRL "major". She won that race because the second place finisher was told to back off for fuel consumption reasons. After the race, the car was found to have had plenty of fuel to finish at 10/10. Roger Penske isn't known for making poor decisions. Conspiracy?  Her "miraculous" 4th place finish at Indy a few years back was after punting 3 other cars off the track and performing an illegal pit stop which she wasn't penalized for. She's where she is because of how she looks. Michelle Mouton, Angelle Savoie and Shirley Muldowney made it on talent. Over here, the media coverage is sickening in it's saturation. Maybe that's why I'm a tad bitter. |
