I'm flying out on Fri13th Shocked
I have a house in Lake placid ( my parents own it)- 'bout 20miles from the track Cheesy,
- will be  hold up at the chateau elan hotel (turn 7) for the most of the race.
Should be a great one - enjoy!!!

Last time I looked lake placid was still located in upstate New York Huh

Hi Knetter,
Yes there is a Lake Placid in New York. Site of the winter olympics way back when ever it was. Grin

Minor change of plan for the 'advance party' arriving at OIA on Saturday (March 14).
I will pick you up, kerbside at the baggage reclaim - so, Vegas!, give me a call when you clear immigration.
From there we will score a quick eat-it-and-beat-it at The FoF and I will then transport you to River Ranch.
This saves a trip for ATCGreg.
I will have to be back in O'town on Sunday afternoon/evening, so whoever is picking-up the RV will need to ship-out when I do.
I've kinda lost track. Aside from JPC, Vegas!, Doris and Langtall, anyone else coming over this year thro' MCO who would care to meet for a beer prior to heading for the circuit?
Cautionary note: pack waterproofs - the weather is f*cking glorious right now, but there is rain in the forecast for race week.

Hi Matt

Look forward to seeing you again on Saturday!!

Checked in with Greg earlier today and he updated me with then latest plan. Julian (aka Spot) should be arriving at the same sort of time as us but he should be met by Shamrock (Glenn from Turn 10.5) with his car and then joining us also.

Noted from your email to Greg our ETA at River Ranch which seems a little early. Our flight, VS015, lands at OIA at 18.20 so by the time we are through customs and Langtall has had the requisite full cavity search for Dutch Herbs I doubt we'll hit the kerbside until about 20:00?

Hey Mark,
Sorry - I figured you were on the earlier LGW flight.
Greg isn't planning on cooking on Sat night, so we'd better stop and get a beer sponge down us before hitting the road.
My only concern is that cell coverage is a bit patchy out in the wilds - and I'm advised that my Suburban probably won't make it far beyong the front gate - so I'm wondering how we're going to summon Gishmeister to come and pick us up.
If you don't get your bags until 8'ish - it could be well after 10.00 by the time we get to Lake Wales - unless we sacrifice beers for fast food along the way (not exactly my preferance). "The Boy" is doing the driving and we'll have a couple of coolers of cold tubes, so you may have to park your lighter luggage on your laps.
Looking forward to seeing you guys again!
Safe travels.

Hey Matt,

Great to hear you're coming to the cabin with us!  Could I put in a request for some Hardys cider rather than beer for the trip down?  I still can't really stomach beer, although a few nigerians would do the trick if Hardys isn't available.   Grin

Do you have a tea request this year?

Randy, old bean!
How the devil are you?
Very pleased that you will be in attendance this coming Saturday.
Still not sure how we are going to be able to notify you that we have arrived, given the lack of cell towers out in BFE.
Smoke signals perhaps?
This is all shaping up to be quite an event.
I will pack my drinking boots.

Thanks Anita, we'll definately wave to you! There's normally a camera dead opposite Turn 10!

If they show any of the paty build up on the coverage, keep an eye out for some Monks!
