Eurosport's contract is for 2008 to 2010.

Saturday 14th June

13.30 Full race coverage

Sunday 15th June
Race until 14.15

(local time)

Saturday from 13:30 ... Full race coverage.

Sunday .... Race until 14:15.

Am I being a bit thick or does this contradict itself?

What is the point of not showing the last 45 minutes of the race?

Errr, maybe that (local time) refers to UK local time Bob? Which woud mean coverage till 15:15 CET. Wink

Not going this year.

We both decided last year that we weren't really enjoying the Le Mans experience as much.  The racing is great - but it is becoming a hassle.

That decision has been reinforced with both of us working in the unstable construction industry and the weak pound making everything 40% more expensive.

After 5 years straight, i'll be giving it a miss as well. Did still like it last year, and I am pretty sure, come June I will be knocking my head against the wall for not going. Having said that, my contract ends next year and I will have to find a new job, that in combination with recently purchasing a house made me decide to leave it alone for a while Embarrassed Ohhh yeah, almost forgot I have to finish my PhD this year as well

Looks like a no for me as well, I have business start up plans (not great timing, but no worse than trolling around trying to find a job with someone elses company which could go bust anyhow) and also young Brad gets married on the 30th May (very poor timing) so he is very unlikely to go.
One good thing, CostCo, ture to their word, refunded the cost of the genny that destroyed its self last year, so I bought one of their current range which is quiter and has more outlets, electronic ignition ect, so it may make an appereence with the SPS crew.

Sorry to hear that you can't make it Ian it will be strange being at Le Mans and not seeing you there but then everyone has to make a living.

As for Brad, now that's a different story. WTF was he thinking about arranging a wedding so close to the big weekend. Sounds to me as if the big thumb is coming down already, and that's before he gets hitched. What next? No more drinking with the boys? "No you can't go to the football I need a new frock"

Oh dear Oh dear, another good man gone wrong.

I *do* hope that those who aren't going will still be eligible for the planning meetings...and that they will make extra effort to attend Huh

Following the birth of my daughter on monday (at 5.17am and weighing 8oz 2lbs - just in case you're interested) my wife's hormones do not seem to have diminished as she still seems to believe I'm not going this year! I have 5 months to turn her back to the light side!!!
