LPP,

You need to speak to Vern' he drove some in the RAF and latter MoD iirc.

Haven't had a chance to get to Brooklands yet due to other problems, but I will promise to do the 'investigation'.

Hi LPP,
Take it easy.remember she is tall so avoid low overhangs also top heavy so avoid sudden changes of direction. Leave plenty of room for the idiot drivers on the road gawking at you instead of looking where they are going Shocked

We have a route planned which is all motorway and A roads without too many roundabouts and sharp corners so should be quite a pleasant drive (he says optimistically)
My braking space will be extended to allow room for idiot overtakers and judging by the looks we got on the test drive there will be plenty of gawking to be had...
Lets just hope she behaves herself. Fingers crossed!

Despite all my doubts in the postal service all the Insurance documents arrived today and she is ready to roll... we cant tax her as she is classed a PHGV which has to be done at a DVLA local area office according to the Pope crew, which are closed on a Saturday.
However we have some trade plates to use from the Popes so all should be cool... a little rule bending is always fun. Its Insured, Mot'd and the red and whites cover the tax as I am delivering it for the owners who have their own reasons for not being able to drive it. It will still be in their name as the hopelessly slow DVLA system wont even have received the document... as it wont have been posted Grin
A list of essentials for the trip has been made but any suggestions are welcome. I may have missed something... we leave after cucumber sandwiches and earl grey tomorrow afternoon.
I look forward to your considered essentials....

Just remember that when you get it back to PP Towers, as you exit the vehicle, you must give a short blessing and then kneel down and kiss the tarmac.

And may god bless all who sail in her Grin Grin Grin

And we still have a night out in Wales to deal with yet.... double gulp... woooo.

Have a good day delivering the Popemobile to it's new home. Just sorry I can't be there for the 'arrival'.

Just have a good pi** up.
