This is the present given to me this year by my Mother in Law, it's not a wind up, this is for real. I know the old girl is getting on a bit and is going a bit doo lally and I don't want to appear ungrateful but WTF is this all about?
So, a competition to post a pic of your worst Xmas pressie. I challenge anyone to beat this.

A Candle snuffer? Haven't you got electric light then?
5 bottles of JD does sound the better bet.
The wife and I stopped buying each other presents about 10 years ago, because you end up with a load of tat that you don't want, but can't throw away. So this year I bought me (strictly on her behalf) a race battery for the car, and some poly bushes. Last year was an anti roll bar. Add to that a few bottles of Bacardi, some cases of beer and few bottles of wine. I couldn't wish for better.
This system really has to be adopted by everybody, but I've yet to see what the mother in law has for me - thanks for the clue

As I now bear the scars of extinguishing a Christmas candle, I realise that your MiL was being very thoughtfull in giving you such a usefull present A bottle of JD would have been much better though.

I managed to give myself a broken big toe on Christmas eve (Drunk of course) and Lady PP managed to rip the front bumper off the Vecky while attempting to reverse out of the drive to take a mate to his Taxi on Christmas day. I also received a spectacular selection of underpants which I am sure will be displayed at some point this June

Bob, that is a truly sh1t and thoughtless present mate. Why do they do it? What did she really think you were going to do with the wretched device? Personally I spent xmas moving house to New Zarse Towers with the terrible flu, which was fantastic fun as you can imagine. And worse than that, I now can't shake it off. So I'll be celebrating new year feeling like crap too. The only highlight was on saturday when I was just about well enough to go out into the countryside with the dog and blow a few animals to pieces with a big gun. That cheered me up a bit, though the improvement was transitory and I'm now back at work a seething maelstrom of ill-will and hatred to all men (and most women too). And folk wonder why I hate xmas. Bugger bloody Xmas, and sod the new year too. Until I go skiing on the 18th!

One of my pressies was the Grumpy Old Men calendar. Not sure quite why...!!! And, now that I've hung it up, it's made me think just how good last year's CA calendar was, so I'm going to keep that one up too.
Happy New Year!!

This film should be played at high volume, so don't come complaining about it! And who the hell is Steve?
