On behalf of a colleague of mine I am trying to find information relating to Robert (Bob) Ritchie's 1955 Macau GP winning Austin Healey 100 and wondered whether there is anybody in CA who might be able to assist.  I would like to find out more about the history of the car - maybe it still exists somewhere out there - and whether there are any images of the vehicle in action.

I have posted on the Austin Healey Owners Club forum too but thought I would try CA as well as I know there are many, many of you who have knowledge of, and interest in, historic racing...

Thanks for your help!

I am sadly disappointed. 12 Hours have elapsed since a serious sports car question has been asked.
No one who's friend / relative had been polishing said car just last week Roll Eyes
No picture posted by Steve Pyro Cry
No Link to YouTube with  29 minutes of "live" coverage of the race.
No one has even bothered to hijack the thread Roll Eyes
Good Luck Oldtimer.
Some of us are interested in the outcome of your search.

OK, I'll post the vaguely useful but doesn't answer the question post...

Try posting your question on the Motorsport History secton of Ten Tenths, lots of people who know useful things there http://www.ten-tenths.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=12

Whilst you are there (and anyone else) look at the Historic Image Archive at the top of the page http://www.ten-tenths.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=103  there are stacks of scanned film images posted by a chap named cub, the pics were taken by his father (Navyflier) who is still with us and posting history of the pictures.    In an attempt to keep on topic see Le Mans 1959 http://www.ten-tenths.com/forum/showthread.php?t=110290 and my spiritual home Spa http://www.ten-tenths.com/forum/showthread.php?t=110390

These pictures represent a fantastic piece of history and having the chap who took them around to add detail to them is a real bonus.

In addition to piglets advise, you could pose your question on the Atlas fourm.
http://forums.autosport.com/index.php?s=

All sort of ex drivers and team owners lurk there.

Edited to say......
Got curious so I have taken the liabity to ask myself!

oldtimer,

Try the owners club..........

http://www.austin-healey-club.com/

Alternatively, I could have a word with a pal who owns a '58 'frogeye' and has been a member since buying the car in '60.

I'll add the hijack/pisstake... I believe said vehicle is being used on private roads by Lady Pig Pen.
Obviously it is not taxed, not insured and has no MOT.  Wink

Thanks Wishy, I have seen the entry on this site but it is, unfortunately a bit superficial.

The Austin Healey owners club site have given me some good leads but so far I have still drawn a blank but I will keep plugging away and will let you know how I get on.

Looks like the winning Triumph TR2 from the inaugural race in 1954.
