You're either at Le Mans, or waiting for Le Mans!

This report is in today's Metro.

The French Grand Prix could be pulled from the 2009 calendar because of financial difficulties at the FFSA. The report goes on to say how long the race has been held at Magny - Cours and that the poison dwarf has been trying for years to move it to a different location.

The last paragraph is a killer.

Reports in France suggest that the race will return in 2010 but at a new venue, most likely at a temporary facility based at Disneyland Paris. Grin Grin

Brilliant. That sums up F1. The world has seen through the FIA at last. Where next? Thorpe Park? Legoland? I do hope so.

Let us hope they don't choose the Bugatti track for the poison dwarf activities, they've ruined Le Mans enough as it is Lips Sealed

Its got to be Disneyland, as its the only place the dwarf and his Mickey Mouse outfit would feel at home.

Radio 1 were reporting this morning that the race had indeed been "pulled"

Mind you, they don't have quite the same gravitas as Radio 4 and are often a day or two behind, so if that's wrong don't blame me please!

As to an alternative how about Bekonscot, in Beaconsfield, Bucks.

Close to the railway station & pub, so a good opportunity for a fabulous afternoon's racing sandwiched between a drink or two in the local beverage houses?

Silly suggestion?  Yes!  But not quite as Mickey Mouse as Disneyland.

It can't be held at Beaconscot Model village as it burnt down last week.

Apparently, you could see the flames from 4 feet away.

Bom bom.

Legoland Windsor would be the best option. they already have a lego track with lego cars (LMP1, looks a bit like a pesca!) and lego people in their model village.

The city of London is a few strides away and Holland is just down the path next to Belguim with Italy over the hill by France.

I thought Flavio Briatore's remarks to that complete tool, Peter Windsor before the Singapore GP summed up perfectly how much of a pile of crap F1 has become.  He said that the Singapore race was what the future of F1 should be, not races at circuits like Silverstone and Magny.  In other words, the races should be held at night so everyone will be distracted away from the fact that the circuit, and the race were utter sh*t.  But hey, didn't the cars paint look nice under the lights Roll Eyes  What a dickhead!
F1's become a dumbed down farce that Bernie can sell to wealthy posers who don't know a damn thing about motor racing and middle eastern heads of state who've got a big pile of oil dollars and want to put on something that'll get their country some exposure.
