Hi everyone, I've not been keeping in touch with everything here lately. I've just been lurking to keep in touch with Debs progress... Are there any dates set for next year yet? Would I be right in thinking it's looking likely to be the 13th/14th June for LeMans? QV

That seems to be general consensus at the moment Vicky.

I have been sent a Page & Moy tour brochure for next year that advertises the date as 13th/14th and nowhere does it say that this is only provisional.

Good news indeed. I'll advise Mrs U that she now has permission to plan other early Summer activities.
One must get one's priorities right. Must book the ferry before they up the prices.

Speedferries have just mailed me offering a 10 trip voucher for £250 (or 6 for £168). Offer valid till 3 Nov. £50 return- can't be bad! I think these tickets would have 2 year expiry, so you could get 2009 and 2010 from them! You'd have to book early and make sure you didn't miss the boat though... http://www.speedferries.com/Landing/FLEX-vouchers-cheap-ferry-tickets.php

Without checking this years small print, in previous years if you were carrying a roof load, and were overheight, the tickets could not be used.

I believe you can book overheight in advance, for an additional fee. Just like you can book over-length - which we failed to do one year and got bounced on arrival.
Good point tho.

I can't see the Classic listed on there. Does the Classic and the LM Story alternate?

It would appear so: "4th-5th July – LM Story Every odd year LM Story is back on the calendar with races on the Bugatti circuit for the delight of lovers of historic racing. In 2007, 350 cars took to the track for 17 races divided up into 9 groups. Clubs of historic vehicle collectors of all makes and types will be part of the 2009 programme as well as a large assortment of Alpines." http://www.lemans.org/sport/sport/actu/2008-10-21_GD_3601_gb.htmlAde
