Just a short note to say that Brick (aka Steve), who was Le Mans regular with the Lawnmower Man and myself for a few years, has passed away.  I am aware that only a handful of people on here knew him, but he enjoyed Le Mans as much as the rest of us and will be much missed by those of us who were lucky enough to know him.

RIP my gentle giant.

I remeber Brick, I think he came to a Plough Planning meeting - and your charity head - hair shearing, and saw him at your camp, a very nice chap. Good memories of him, what more can we leave behind. Still sad though.

Doris,

So sorry to hear this - such sad news again.  I'd not had the privilege of meeting Steve, but my thoughts are with you and others that did.

Absolutely, my condolences to all of Brick's family and friends.

I had the pleasure of meeting Brick at Le Mans and also hosting him at my house one afternoon when some sort of Le Mans related thing happened (I really cannot remember what it was but I know Doris was there and I think maybe Ian was too??)

As Andy said, Doris told us about this last night at the beer festival and she was very upset, and quite rightly so!!

RIP Steve!!

I've never met Brick (Steve) but he obviosly enjoyed our annual excursion to the hallowed soil of La Sarthe.

But anyone who has experienced 'the experience' deserves acknowledgement, particularly if friends with Tom and Doris.

Please pass on my condolences to family and friends for me.

Sad news indeed.

Steve always had a great sense of Humour and could Cook and mix Cocktails.

He had 2 passions.  Motor Racing and photography.

RIP. My Friend.

Very sad news indeed.

I met Brick on several occasions, both at LM and Wokingham, and it was always a pleasure to be in his company.

I've not added to CA for absolutely ages, but I can't let this go by.

My deepest condolences to Steve's family, all his friends especially Doris and Lawnmower Man and anyone who knew him. He was one in a million and just a gentle giant.

I remember him taking my youngest, Michael, on the big wheel at LM, because I hate the things! Afterwards, I thanked him and asked if he'd enjoyed it. He calmly looked at me and said, No!, I hate them too, but I promised Michael I'd take him on it, and a promise is a promise."

RIP - Big Fella!

Keith

One of my favourite photos by Rick - Sorry Doris! (Never added a photo so I hope this works)
