Morning all,

Word of warning.......when removing the CA 2008 sticker it also removed some lacquer!  Cry

The 2007 stickers came off fine, even after 6 months. My fault, I guess, for taking the sticker off so soon.

So now the rear clam is getting a scruffy look, just like the front clam.

Bit of a pi$$er.

Next year's sticker will be going in the window.

Bit late for Christopher, but if you soften the glue with a hairdryer first, they come off fairly easy.  Any residual glue can be wiped off with white spirit (or similar).

Did that, as I have done on other stickers over the years.

The 08 one softened nicely with the hair dryer, but about half way through it started pulling off the lacquer.

Had no problems in previous years.

Maybe it was just some poor paint / lacquer quality in this particular area. Previoulsy I have had the stickers in a different place.

Hi Del,

didn't it say "superglue-version" on the order form?  Grin Grin Grin

You're either at Le Mans, or waiting for Le Mans!

Leave them on. Consider them as campaign medals for missions accomplished.

Yes should be left on until it is replaced with next years- its a badge of honour!
Saw a BMW with a MB camping pass in the window on the motorway last week- lots of tooting of horns, thumbs ups and mad grinning followed.
My Alfa still has a '75 LM sticker peeling away on its rear window, i could never take it off, its part of the car now.

A proper aircraft, one that lightened my bank account by £250, but money well spent , oh and then there's the t shirt, the model to build, the painting i bought etc, so quite a bit more than £250 in the end.

I had to remove all of mine for my MOT on the Chavalier, The removal  left clean patches so no complaint from me.
The DFH rabbit stickers that appeared all over her have now re appeared but in a crusty dirt style rather than orange or yellow.
The Cav rolls on... nearly 40K miles on a £250 car is rather good VFM in my book! Grin

Year stickers are a "badge on honour".

The CA 2008 was placed on the defunct wind deflector, when I got time it will be placed as the rest.

Me with my 2006 CA sticker still stuck on the side (and I have one on the rear of the car too).
The look I'm getting from MGMark is the one he gives when you overtake him on a full course yellow!
The red mist got into my eyes.
