We're not going to make it, we've run out of enthusiasm...we'll watch you on the telly instead!

As long as you've only run out of enthusiasm and not run out of alcohol!!!  Wink

Nope plenty of that  Grin

Im out. After the events of the weekend I don't think buggering off to watch a motor race will go down too well at home (or what's left of it). Mrs S is still very upset and, wellto be honest, it's kinda taken wind out of my sails too.

Floods in Morpeth I'm guessing? What a bummer...  Sad

If only you had some sort of temporary home to live in, possibly with a 1725 engine and that's raised up off the ground by wheels to escape the rising waters and which you could also have taken to Silverstone. How useful would that have been?  Wink

Good luck with the clean up.

I don't think a pair of 7 year olds will grasp the concept of a 1000k race, even with the promise of a baseball cap.

My son had a brilliant time last year, even though that took some entertainment, created by ourselves Wink

I'm getting the green/red light tonight from my ex about this weekend. Fingers crossed here....

Talk about chalk and cheese. I just had a message from a friend on another forum, to say that they had thankfully escaped the floods as they live in a village near Morpeth. I had enquired as I knew they lived that way.

Their village was above the flood area so they escaped any damage.

Then only minutes later I read this on this forum.

Man its shitty world. Sad

Can anyone help me out with a couple of weekend tickets please.  We will be at Whittlebury, but I waited too long for unreliable folk to get back and pre booked tickets have now ceased.

Thanks for any help

Hi Ian - have you posted on Sell or Swap?

If you get really stuck, I have one of those freebies from our Peugeot freinds that you could possibly use
- but for Sunday only!

Ditto...let me know if you get stuck.

Radio le Mans will have all the action live as always for anyone stuck at home.
Website was down earlier in the week with a server problem but all sorted now I'm told.

If you are at the track they will be on AM and the track PA for the LMS race and track action only.

For those of you heading for Silverstone from M40 J10.

There was a sneaky speed camera on the A43, can't remember whether it's before or after Brackley.

You go round a bend on the duel carrage way, and you are faced with a forward facing Tuvelo camera.

By the time you see it you are in the photo zone.

That has been there for a few years, just before the exit for Silverstone. Will catch you out so I would suggest if you don't exactly where it is stick to 60mph as you go from Brackley to Silverstone.

I remember it well from our trip to present the Charity Cheque!! Something akin to an emergency stop saved me from a ticket IIRC!

You don't win Le Mans - you outlast it.

Arghh, I'll have to follow the race from the office this year.  Undecided

On top of that, I'll have to skip the Britcar 24Hs, too.
