Hi all.

The Flying Baguettes are helping to run a charity event for Great Ormond Street Hospital on 30th August.

In addition to taking a ride in a Ferrari or other supercar / classic there will be live music from three local bands (including members of the famous Flying Baguettes), BBQ, inflatables and loads more.

The event is raising funds to fight Wilms tumour, a rare form of childrens cancer following the sad loss of one of our close friends daughter.

It takes place at Wickham Court School, Layhams Road, West Wickham BR4 9HW from 11 am -5pm on Saturday August 30th.

Obviously the more people that turn up the more money is raised so it would be great to see some of you on the day.

If you can't make the day but would still like to donate then you can through the Donate Now page at www.wecanbeatwilms.org where you can also find out more about Wilms.

Many thanks!!!!!!! Smiley

If any of you have an interesting car that you would like to bring along and help with the charity rides you are more than welcome.

As there appears to have been no support of this from CA members this is probably not needed - however this event has had to be postponed due to the site being occupied by Gypsies. A new date will be set soon.

The event is in support of the tragic storey of Molly Biederman who is the daughter of Rob, one of our Le Mans regulars. Molly's tragic story was the subject of Channel 5's programme 'A Child in a Million' and also the Daily Mail article below:

Mal, i'm sure the lack of support is not a lack of compassion by CA people, as you know we all do our bit in other ways, but maybe it's a lack of interesting exotica in the garage?

Anyway, I hope it goes well when you find a new site. Bloody pikeys, they are a waste of oxygen.  Angry

Hi,

We had been planning to go to this for weeks and were looking forward to it.

We turned up on Saturday only to find it closed because of scum pikeys!!  Angry  How do these people have rights?!  Send in a tank!
They ruin my motoracing and are now ruining my days out with the family.

Anyhow....looking forward to the rescheduled date......October I believe?

Not sure on new date Simon - need confirmation that Pikeys are gone or a new venue before we confirm the date. The Pikey issue will be in court on Thursday. Will keep you informed. Early October is favourite if we can put the pieces together.

Dream Rides will be a great event so hope to see many of you there!!

There will be a silent auction on the day with the chance to bid for some great prizes including being driven round Silverstone in a race ready 430GT3.

One item that needs to go before the event is 2 tickets to the filming of the Jonathan Ross show at the London studios on October 2nd!  Guests will be Michael Parkinson, Faye Dunaway and Alan Carr. Music will be by Oasis!!!!!!

This also comes with one of JRs ties - signed by the man himself!!!  Lets just say its typicall JR style - a bit florally!!!

Bids need to be with me by the 25th September in order that tickets may be arranged so if you want to bid then just let me know directly!

Any questions on Dream Rides then again just let me know - further details at www.wecanbeatwilms.org
