1 am on Sunday morning at the second Mulsanne Chicane and I got a flat tyre......on my bike FFS!!!.....Now I had a puncture repair kit and spare tube......in my tent at MB.
So a very long walk home beckoned until one of our team members.....you know....the clever fecker who always has a full Snap-On kit in his pocket.....produced a repair kit.
20 minutes later I'm on my way back down the Mulsanne.
Will try and post the footage from the armco (yes....behind the armco) on the Mulsanne later.

Severe sunburn to my nose on the drive down on Tuesday.
Now applying copious amounts of after sun cream to stop the darn thing dropping off.
Not a pretty sight.

Aside from the odd fuel vaporisation problem in traffic, only one small issue with the MGA at Alencon on the way back - distributor points closed, entailing a quick diagnosis and resetting courtesy of a screwdriver and MkI eyeball of the gap Otherwise the usual walllet emptying exercise, punishment of the liver and exploring the limits of sleep deprivation. As the price for a week away from home involving concentrated exposure to beer and motorsport with no work, it was well worth it as always.....  MG Mark |

This thread is sending shivers down my spine as I try to ready a 37 year old Alfa that has sat about for the best part of 10 years in time for a 1300 mile round trip to next months Classic. What have I let myself in for?
Had better sort out some breakdown cover methinks.
Still awaiting a full Zarse report on everyones favourite green machine- come on Andy!
Full report will have to wait til later in the week. Rest assured we're back in one piece, well, several pieces but at least we're back. And so is the Commer, despite the fuel tank fouling problems, she arrived home last night under her own steam. |

Only one minor mishap in our group:
TVR S2 - Knocked the middle section of the exhaust out of the front box getting on the ferry at Pompey. Speedy at Le Harve knocked it back in place, although we did have a Ferris Bueller moment when the mechanic shot off round the block to drive it into the other entrance.
made sure we asked for Deck 3 on the way back.

Seem to remember it being attacked with a hammer at about 2am Sunday morning. Thanks for a great party Rusty, you and the rest of the Brethren sure know how to throw a wonderful bash.
