Hello all,

I know many of you helpful peeps won't be back yet but I've been going to le mans off and on for the past 8 years so know I have to plan EARLY!!!

I intend on returning once again (seems to be every other year these days) in 2009 and need some help as I plan to do things differently to previous years.

For a start I plan to go down in my campervan next year and would like to get a pitch in Houx. I know these are like gold dust (hence my early planning) and want to know the procedure is.

In the past I've got my act together for Houx Annexe permits at the end of summer and been okay. I'm assuming this won't work for Houx pitches? I recall people booking Houx pitches at the previous years testing - does this still go on? Am I too late already? Am I best joining the ACO for priority? I've never been a member but le mans has certainly got a lot more popular in recent years so things may of changed regarding when to apply for tickets.

I notice a billitterie section to the official website - do Houx permits sell on here - am I better applying direct?

Too many questions I know but that'll do for starters I guess. Hope everyone had fun and got/gets back okay.

Cheers

I havent booked HOUX before but getting in early is always good. If yourworried try a ticket agent, but... they charge lots of money, but you do get what you really want.

i always book really early.

you are probably already too late to get Houx tickets from the ACO so i think you will have to use a ticket agent.

You might try the agent DFH used to get their pitches on MB.  They didn't seem to be charging rip-off prices as many do.

Still worth putting in an application to the ACO direct also, but I doubt if you'll have any luck now.  There is still the spectre of the footie stadium hanging over Houx - much of which was supposed to have been taken over by this year but wasn't due to the whole project having been delayed.  Nobody knows for how long.
