We have taken gopeds for the last 5 years , and found them a great source of transport/fun....initaly the local police just smiled , but in 2004 we were stopped on Mulsanne at GUNPOINT !!. The "friendly policeman" then ripped out our HT leads...needless to say we had them fixed after they cops went away, and made it back to camp..the following years it has been a mix of smiles or "get off and push"..So this year we have decided to go for another option...push bikes with engines!!!....they are quicker than gopeds, easier to ride and if the plod take the huff, then we can just kill the motor and peddle them !! ..I have tried to attach an image of our bikes on this post but failed. Could someone pls advise how it is done ??  TY

Get yourself an account on a free picture hosting site such as flickr, photobucket to start with. There are quite a few others as well.

Upload your photos. On the site you wil see a tag something like 'Direct Link'.  Right click this and copy.

On CA, just above the 'Smilies', there are two rows of icons, bottom row, 2nd from left should indicate 'Insert Image'.

Click that and paste the link to your photo in between the two centre brackets.. you are looking for something like this....

Hope this helps.

You can add one (or is it two?) pics to a post - when you are writing it, click on Additional Options and you can add pictures.

That's an interesting point

(no not the go-ped question)

I have often tried to add pictures and I always seem to fail

has anyone seen any off me this last few weeks?

I sort of get the feeling the computer links them straight off my hard drive without showing them to you lot

still I feel lucky when people let me play with the big boys and their compooters Sad

you could always, you know, just pedal the bikes thereby saving the need for an engine, at all  Grin

Except for Vern' and my grandad, the whole frigging family are teachers, 1 preacher and farmers (sheepshaggers).

I'm a 'hands-on' engineer, can teach anyone in the real world. But absolutely useless in the classroom.

Follow me, I'm right behind you now isn't see.

These bikes are standard mountain bikes with engine kits fitted. They are 2 stroke 60cc. Starting is via bumping off. Once running they have a clutch so you can stop and still keep the engine ticking over. They can hit 30mph and will do over 100 mpg. I have been commuting to work on mine for the last few months, just to make sure it is reliable  Wink. They are not too noisy so dont attract too much attention. They just ride like a push bike, but  without the hard work. LM is so spread out that we could not get about the way we like to without some sort of transport (other than the cars). We are hoping that these bikes will do the job this year.
