It appears that this year's Le Mans is going to be shown on ITV4. I have just found out that there will be highlights from Test Day on ITV4 on Saturday 7th June at 1.55pm until 2.30pm. There is a repeat the next day at 4.25pm

I have no news on transmissons time during the race weekend.

It looks like nothing (yet) on ITV1 or ITV4 from 11th or 13th qualifying.

Well worth setting your Sky+ for (other time delay recording technologies are available).

Just watched it from my Media Center PC and it was nicely instructional, accessible even to newbies like half my group (this'll be my 10th year so I think I qualify as a non-newbie, though the hat is doffed to some of the old hags on CA).

Good interview with the lovely Vanina Ickx; come on Rollcentre, let's see if you can make the podium this year... ;-)

Repeat of the Quali prog is on ITV4 on Saturday at 16.30.

As the coverage is voiced by the same guy who does the official DVD, I suspect that recording this series might save you a quid or two later on...

Anybody manage to record the whole race this year?  Because of the idiot swapping between Eurosports 1 & 2 and a limited number of programmes I can put into my box, I only managed to record about 12 hours myself.

TV coverage has been poor this year. I used to buy the video highlights every year but they always take a while to be released. I havent seen any highlights programmes of the race or any scheduled which is a shame as its nice to re watch on the box

Apart from the idiot ad breaks every 10 minutes or so, I was very impressed with the Eurosport coverage over here.  A good bunch of commentators who told you what was going on rather than gibbering all the time.  But on balance, I'd still like to see Motors get the contract back - the channel swapping is a right nightmare when you're at the race and unable to control it properly.  A power cut here mid-race didn't help either.

But the ITV4 progs aren't bad, if a bit short and heavy on "atmosphere" rather than action.  And boy, that bloke's droney voice...

ITV4 are showing Le Mans 2008 Final Qualifying Race on   Sat, Jun 21 2008 at 16:30. All a bit curious - I wonder if the Pugs will be on pole?

Even more curious - the trailer ends with shots of Jacques Villeneuve in the pits and a podium ceremony. Arse & elbow spring to mind but may be worth 30 minutes.

For those skilled in the art of bit-torrent, the race is available through isohunt.com. Includes warm up and second qualifying session. I've not finished downloading it yet but its of TV so will probably be the Eurosport coverage. Let you know when its finished.
