Simple - have no car!!!!!!!!!
Speak to the Ovlov garage and find out what the F@ck is going on, it went in for a service Monday still there, may get it back tomorrow.
Oh it will be fun tomorrow.

The Astra is back all done – new camshaft sensor and a oil change! Was double labour as the part I was sent was incorrect and had to wait for the correct one to be sent today!! Good job the correct part was only half the cost of the original one so it works out in even!
Mechanic noticed the Oil Cap was broken aswell so bought a new one from Vauxhalls on the way back
Garage work - £99.89
Oil Cap - £8
Total - £107.89
Getting to HA NORD so the gimp and Bondi can have a go - Priceless  I think Lady PP is interested in having a play with young Kev too.... he wont know whats hit him! ok  No car problem here!

This is ridiculous - 5 days after getting the car back from the body shop for the failing handbrake, no door fiasco, which after excess, hire car and mechanical repairs came to the tidy sum of 700 notes, a deer decided to go suicidal and stepped out in front of me. It has mullered the fog lamp, and surrounding trim and destroyed the wheel arch lining, worst of all though whilst it was being thrown from under my wheels it took a chip out of the brand new door.
I'm cursed clearly.
Luckiliy the garage managed to rebuild the front corner and say I can drive around without a wheel arch lining for the time being as long as I get it sorted asap when I get back.
30 cm to the left and the deer would have been in the radiator and gone up and over. That would have made 3 windscreens in 3 years.
Thankful for small mercies.
Be thankful it wasn't a 'proper' deer like what you get on the A93 |

Old cars, don't you just love em? After 2 months of body repairs I finally got the Alfa up and running last night. With less than a week to go before its epic 1500 mile trip to the promised land she has decided to cause bother for the first time in 3 years. On the way home last night she stopped twice when the throttle linkage fell off and on the way to work this morning the front servo failed locking the front brakes solid. I'm running out of time and patience with it!
Drat.

So you think the Commer (as much as I love her) will be a more reliable proposition than the Alfa? You're a funny guy Zarse! Just returned from a 80 mile blast around Northumberland chasing the bikers! No problems to report but running without the front Servo was interesting- back wheels were braking much harder causing a few hairy moments.
