Oo-err, It's all coming up a bit quickly. Still, only rear hub oil seals, half shaft seals, rear spring rubbers, exhaust gaskets, a couple of leaky core plugs (I have sooo much sympathy), new tyres and she'll be right! I'm sort of hoping there's a consignment of blank MOT certificates being transported by some trembling PO workers in a horse drawn carriage along a quiet track in the local woods, that way I'll be able to put on my best Adam Ant gear and jump out from behind a tree with my pistol cocked, singing. And maybe some Lupins too, if I get really lucky. H

It's a crank sensor isn't it?
Toughest thing should be getting to it - then it's a straight swap.

Tis the crank sensor – got to take timing belt off to get the cam cover off then get in to sort it! Theres a garage 2 minutes from my work that I always get my MOT done at and as he is a Vauxhall Enthusiast he usually sorts a good cash in hand price out for me So Crank sensor and oil change will be done at the same time If I wasn’t going to lemans in it next week id attempt it myself but I know with my luck ill do something wrong!

Who started this posting?
Car went into garagefor its 2nd year service, 18k - No problems.
Went to pick up and the guy said slight knocking from the front (which I reported) was the drive shaft, but it would need to go to their other garage to be looked at, but no rush. But when I told him I was going to France next week he said "oh!" and they better keep it in and get it over tomorrow.
Car should be back Thursday - all going well!
So it looks fun now, any way enough to worry about - another bloody exam on Thurs, so studying hard.

Change the belt anyway.... trust me Yours has twice as many valves as the Chav and they will hit... For the cost of a belt its gotta be done if all the covers are off.

Well 2 new run flat tyres fitted today and on the way home the puncture indicator light flashed up I do hope it's not one of the new ones or that money down the drain as you cannot repair them

I am missing out on this fella's taking to many boring reliable cars this year all BMW's.Last year on the way down broke a drive shaft on the E30 M3, gear lever fell out of Mk1 escort cossie, bonnet came up on the griff at about 120mph (all entertaining in there own way). On going to Nurburg in april in my Griff did the exhaust manifold gaskets 5 days before and a clutch 2 days before, all nice and last minute (the only way to be). Le mans this year taking boring BM's so no prep (just dosent feel right)
