I've got strange ideas these days and I want to share one with you...

... for those who gonna come to le Mans in November, we may go to a go kart speedway 20 kms to le Mans on saturday afternoon and have an official CA Trophy.

The owner of the speedway often organise such trophies for companies and it's not so expensive considering the quantity of fun.

Is someone interest ??

We also organise a full championship with a second race in June 2004....

Nov - practice
May - pre-qualifying
June - race

Nice idea!

... especially for you if you don't come in November, you still be qualify for june by racing in may. Do we reinvent the princip of ELMS? I hope no to not have to pay some fees to ACO  Wink

Hi Gilles & Smokie, I would like to suggest that we already have way too much going on in June.
I suggest Practice/Qualifying in November
additonal invitations to suitable participants ie: CA posters for Go Kart RACE at PQ in May
Then the winner would be able to wear the
Puke Green Jersey or other suitable disgusting apparel as the badge of honour to the Champagne Bash in June? A proper trophy of course to take home to the mrs.

I think a CA karting adventure would be great.  I think it would have to be sometime durring the week of Le Mans though.  Those trans Atlantic flights get pretty expensive.  Dave and I usaully go karting while I'm there for the race.  We missed out this year, but Lizzie and I went instead.  I got the track reccord.  You English are too slow! hehe.   Smiley

Sorry Chris, but too much work in June. Nearly killed me this year, only respite was the wine tastiing with FG Friday am!
Maybe a warm-up in  Nov. on the karting front, and take it from there?

Chris, by the look of the piccy next to your posts, can I assume you are some sort of semi professional kart racer?? Particularly in view of you job with Uncle Bobbys Skool of Making the Tires Squeal.

Should we allow pros into the race, or should Chris be the coach?

How about you let me run but don't count me.  No prizes for pros.  Maybe give me a handicap even like some extra weight.  My 130 pound frame is usally a huge advantage in an underpowered kart.  We say that 10 pounds = .5 sec on the track at Bondurants.

You know, Dave is no slouch either.  I found out this year that he raced Formula Fords with the late Senna.
