I'll echo that call Phil - to be honest, if it's a boiler, Budschmizer's a nice tonic to chase down buckets of Guinness.  Get your ass back over here Smokie!  Bollocks to freezing your nads off at the Sarthe.

I'd love to, but not this year!

Mrs S seems to think that I've had enough holidays without the family for the year - and I've only had two separate weeks abroad for races, a weekend away with mates, another weekend on my own in France and another weekend planned with mates in September.

We're off to Majorca in a couple of weeks but I can't find anything there in the racing calendar. I'm even banned from going out for a few days on a m/bike due to falling off last year and gettinmg second degree burns on my leg.

She just doesn't understand me...

Having never been to Le Flambadou, but having heard wonderful thngs about it, I would like to say yes, I would love to join you there on the Saturday night in November, but like Smokie, I will need to confirm my attendance nearer the time.

Gilles, how big is the restaurant?? Are we talking about possibly filling it. Or if we booked for 50 peole but had to cancel down to 5 two weeks before the event would we totally mess up the patron.

Having never been there I don't know the repercussions of these ideas??!!?? The last thing on my mind would be to upset a local restauranteur or to tarnish Gille's reputation!!

You don't win Le Mans - you outlast it.

JP

If its a nice day the restaurant can seat about 30+ outside, if the weather's bad about 12 inside, it's fairly small, unless there's an area that I didn't see, if you get there I'll be very envious, very good food, as long as you like duck or snails, and extra LM racing. Enjoy!!!

The restaurant is really small...

... of course in November we won't eat on the terrace

As far as I remembered, it should be around 25 seats inside only...

... maybe a global booking is possible considering we were already 15 in June !!!

I wait for the position of PM and his mates and the Lemon Gang to know how many people of the historic Flambadou team will come but it should be not so hard to completely fill in.

Smoki, does your wife never be enough curious to discover that land of perdition akas Le Mans... In november it gonna be more familial and quiet and Flambadou could be a part of her cooking education, maybe she ever could ask the patronne for recipes !!!

Smokie,
I may have a solution which would enable you to attend this event in November without you feeling as if Mrs Smokie is being neglected.
Let me have your address and times of departure and return. I could pop round while you're away and keep Mrs Smokie "company". It seems to me everyone should be happy, in fact, if things work out satisfactorily, you may be able to have further weekends away...

Smokie, she's a beaut!
I've come over all a-trembling.
A musician, model and drinker to boot, I'll have no problems keeping this little lady "company".
The polka dot pinny really does it for me I can tell you (and is that a jar for 'contributions' on the floor?). You can't get this sort of stuff on prescription...
