I spotted this while lurking outside the YMCA the other day. Unlike me, it was all up and running, but it had a bit of a prototype look about it.

Could be wrong but personally I would say that it was a kit car built on a Porsche 924 / 968 chassis. Hope so cause it looks butt ugly for a production vehicle.

I've no idea what the car is, or is based on but it looks a bit kitcarish to me.

I'm delighted to see your photographic skills have not deserted you Harry. I've been practicing hard too, here's a shot I took on my recent trip to the cricket in New Zealand. It shows England skipper Michael Vaughan on his way back to the hutch, having been bowled out third ball for nought. His batting form had been suffering of late and needless to say, I'd had a good chat with him in a hotel lift the day before and I told him how to straighten up his technique. Why won't people bloody listen?  Angry

Oh and also a shot of the Singapore Airlines Airbus A380, the nose appears to be haunted by the ghostly figure of a giant man, I expect he's French as he doesn't appear to be doing much.

Quality work Andy. First class. And it's always nice to hear the praise from a fellow pro. Which photo is which?

The car in question had the badge of a marque with a fair bit of Le Mans history (a badge I thought was dead and buried), and I'd say the ugly, bulbous rear end is a (probably unintentional...) nod to the shape of one of its LM cars. If I told you where I saw it, it would give the game away completely.

Well done that man!
I was surprised to see that it's been around since 98 though (styling apart), it really did look like a bish-boshed together job. Interior wasn't great either. Spotted within a mile of Thames Ditton though, so I suppose you could say it was real GT alright. The swollen rear end put in mind not only of a friend of mine, but also the coupe version of the Cobra that ran for a little while at LM, and then overheated I think? (or was that my mates arse...)
H

It suits 'Paula' better.
