I have a gripe about the web site.  It only works with MSIE as far as I can tell.  Well its the menu bar that doesn't work in netscape and other brosers.  If I sort out what is wrong with the front page will you make the changes required Dave?

It's a reall pain for me, it mean, I have to use my GFs computer to read the forum.   My own system runs Linux and so MSIE is not an
option for me.

Regards,
Tom.

MSIE is unfortunately by far the most prolifick(sp.?) browser out there, and the stats for Dreamracers are that only about 3-4% are Netscape or some form of Mozilla browser, I used to test in Netscape, but just dont bother now.

Dreamracers- you hit it right on the nail.

Rest assured, we will work on cross-browser compliance after we put up our 2003 coverage.

Dreamracer,  I know MSIE is he most prolific browser.  But as I say
I normal use a Linux system and so MSIE is not an option.  I have good reasons to use Linux but that discussion is outside the scope of this forum.

Thats why I asked If I find out why it fails in Netscape could the fix be incorporated.

The downside if it not working in Netscrape and other None MSIE browsers is that menu bar dos not show up,  so I had no idea that any of that stuff was there I only discovered it coz I happened to be using my GFs system one day.

ChrisConsidine,  That would be good.

I not disputing that there are far better browsers out there than IE, infact, almost anyhting non-MS normally seems to be far better.  Not wanting to get into a IE/NS arguement as I know NS is better, infact Mozilla is preferred.  All I was saying is that as far as my own site goes, I havent got the spare extra time to test other browsers, but when DR gets sponsored and someone wants to pay me, sure I will!  Grin

On a somewhat unrelated topic, I find it really interesting that so many top level Microsoft execs are absolutely gaga over racing but they never put two and two together and sponsor anything in the racing industry.  It has to be a profitable venture if Sony and HP/Compaq repeatedly throw billions into it.  Maybe they figure that they have so much of a monopoly in their area that they don't need to.

Just some food for thought from your friendly web master. Cool

My wife works for Microsoft (honest) and she drives her car like shes on a race track.
She's going to a conference in the States next week but I don't suppose the topic of race team sponsorship will be mentioned !

I thought Micrsoft didn't employ people who smoke. Your nickname may give the game away.
