I was directed here by Termie from a post I put up on a French forum and indeed, my first post was to move on one of our group tickets as the guy could no longer make it - I like the idea that the service is available for people who may want to go to LM for the first time and have no idea how difficult it is now to source camping tickets etc. but still get a chance to go without having to take out a new mortgage to buy one of a shark on ebay - my spare ticket went to a first timer and he immediately booked for 2008 when he was there last year - so it does work.

Does it really matter?

So what if people are one post wonders,  as has been said it's up to the 2 parties involved as to whether they want to do the transaction or not.

If a CA regular has some extra tickets to sell then they can choose to contact the One Post Wonder or not. and Vice Versa if the OPW has tickets to sell.

It could be said that we are helping fellow LM fans by selling them tickets at face value, and isn't that what CA is about???

Ok, it can be annoying if the OPW buys from a CA Regular at face value and then sells them on at a profit,  but thats the way of the world! The CA Regular will have got his/her money back, so should be happy as thats what they wanted!

I'm sure it would be possible to exclude OPW's from SoS but then they'd just end up posting in one of the other sections anyway...

With the ticket cock up this year we have had to revert to agents to get our Houx Anexx passes - we accepted that we had to pay a premium and buy GE's as well, not chuffed with the ACO but thats life.

I am therefore selling my Blue Nord tickets on E****, I put the up at a starting price of £40 with free postage and then let them go at what ever the final price is, my description is, I think fair and honest. So far I have achieve a good price from them but not as yet covered my HA passes cost.

The covering my costs and the avoiding the low posters / proffitiers are the reason I am doing this, some of the descriptions on E*** are well over the top though, currently there is a BN pass described as "Le Mans, Blue nord camping pass, secure, marked pitch", - arnt they all now, obviouly hype to increase the price, it did have a "Buy it now" price of £150, ( which now seems to have disapeared). a Typical proffitier description and scam Huh possibly, but I do not know how we could police SOS effectivly to avoide feeding them, so hence I am doing the other thing, but fairly.

It looks as if i'm going to be very much in the same boat... - Generally speaking my mates dad sorts out all of their tickets, whilst I sort out mine, normally we all camp at Expo, but it would appear that the ACO has managed to cock their allocation up good and proper, so it may well be the case that i have 4 expo camping spots up for grabs in the near future, and have to go through the likes of ebay to get the camping spot that I now need if i can't find anything on here....

AS for newbies... - it was the search for tickets last year that brought me to this place.. - I think if they choose not to hang around its their own loss... -  I don't post often, but do check here every couple of weeks, and think its one of the more amiable forums I belong too... Grin
