It was a cracking weekend and cracking race. Barcelona is a great place to visit and the track is easy to get too with the help of public transport, its about a 25 mins walk from the railway station.

You don't win Le Mans - you outlast it.

Excellent pictures, Rob. What train did you usually take. I took the 09:32 train from Sants. Here are some of my pictures per class. Sorry for the hair or what ever it is in the pictures. I haven't figured out yet what it is. Sometimes it's there, sometimes not.

LMP1: Winning Pug no 8 with Pedro Lamy and Stephane Sarrazin at the wheel (not at the same time).

LMP1: Second placed Audi no 2 with Mike (Rocky) Rockenfeller and Alexandre Premat.

LMP1: Third placed Charouz Lola AM with Stefan Mücke and Jan Charouz. This is an excellent result for a brand new car. They were only three laps down the leading Pug. That's less than 5 minutes in a true 6 hour race.

LMP2: 1st in LMP2 was the Van Merksteijn Spyder driven by Jos Verstappen and Peter van Merksteijn.

LMP2: Second placed Speedy Racing Lola Judd with Andrea Belicci, Steve Zacchia, Xavier Pompidou.

LMP2: Third placed Team Essex Spyder with John Nielsen and Casper Elgaard.

GT1: Class winner Luc Alphand Aventures Corvette with Luc Alphand himself, Guillaume Moreau and Patrice Goueslard.

GT1: Second placed Larbre Saleen with Fred Makowiecki, Christophe Bouchut and Patrick Bornhauser. This one is just being overtaken by the Kruse Schiller Lola Mazda.

GT1: Third placed IPB Spartak Murcielago with Peter Kox and Roman Rusinov at the wheel.

As Rob already mentioned, the track and city of Barcelona combination is an awesome weekend experience. Fortunately, the ACO has a three year contract with the circuit. So, I already know now that I will be there in 2009 and 2010. The circuit de Catalunya is one of the most modern and spectator friendly circuits with the best facilities I have ever been at.

I don't care - I'm a racing driver and I'm here to win, not to finish third.

I watched it on the tube, but I wish I had been there! Will definitely go to Spa though, the LMS looks very good this year.
