I've just sais to Leftie Senior I fancy going (£50.00 rail fail), he said in ex RAF voice "wait ten years". My reply was that there will be no RAF in ten years judging by current govermental standards. But there is a problem here and I ask you all for your advice. My little classic 1973 Triumph GT6 needs some work on it and Tuesday pm will be perfect for doing it so it will make LM again. Question:- What should I do? |

Go to London. The Triumph can always make the trip to LM next year. The Red Arrows may have been axed by then in a cost cutting programme.

Well it wasn't worth it if you did go. One fly by then off up towards Wembley and that was it. I think there will have been a lot of 'less than satisfied' people there as there were thousands of people lining the Waterloo & Jubilee bridges and the embankment .... ho hum.

Thing is, it was always billed as a Flypast, not an air display. I saw them over Tower Bridge Headed off towards the Mall and Buck House. |

They even had a 'map' of the flypast on the website, showing one straight line over a bit of London. And also, the word 'flypast' in itself pretty much makes you think they were going to, well, fly past. So disappointed people just got their hopes up to high. Not something you can blame the RAF for.
