the pub's name? Since we come to Le mans (1997) we are big fans of the Aux Portes Du Circuit. We call it Angus. After the ac/dc guitar player. We started calling teh singer of the great band which always plays over there. And because Aux Portes Du Circuit is a bit long for a laizy dutchmen the pub AND the singer are simply called Angus, by us.

Different bar entirely Gijs, this one is down at Tertre Rouge. The correct name for the bar you call Angus is Hell's Gate. Terrible things can happen there. Such terrible terrible things.

Thanks, I know again where it is. What's the best night to come to that bar? And is there a dress-code? haha.

I would like to invite you all to have a look at Aux portes du circuit. Every friday evening there is a great "band" and in front of the bar there is enough wheel spinning to see. Always a fabulous time over there.

Hi FS,
From your picture <taken during construction, the Tramway is not much further to walk so the Stella will become a staging post for rides into town.

We have our own party with great bands on fridaynight, on Maison Blanche, without the wheel spinning though...

It's a great place, F/S - but DFH make it tough to do on a Friday.

We used to drink here some years ago, we called it Jocks bar as there was always a large party of Scots who camped in the grounds at the rear of the bar. Gets really packed from around Thursday, as for the antics on the road outside, this is where Big H, nearly wrote his Jag off. Memo always drive on the right Grin

Very nice to see such pictures. the ones i have are quite simular. i'll see tomorrow if i can find some of "angus". this one reminds me of a very nice ferrari and porche doing a burn-out at the sime time, starting next to each other going opposite ways.

seeing the waterguns it makes me think. its nice to spray on the tires but how about the open cars. they spray them too. even saw short stupid fight because of that. unfortynately not eveyone knows how to behave when surrounded by beer and beautifull cars.

this year whe are staying at camping expo hereby i want to make the bet that i can walk on my hands from my tent to the bar.

greets and looking forward to more nice/funny pics. Bob a.k.a Gijs van Lennep
