Nice Smiley

One thing with the night shots though: if you use the timer for taking these shots, you won't get the little bit of movement you got from pressing the button Wink

That one is not legal, becasue of the " - ". And I suspect the indiviual spacing between the characters is smaller than officially requested. The font might even be questionable.

Yes the plate on the VW is illegal on at least two points. The hyphen is not allowed and the character 4 does not comply with the prescribed font.
For vehicles registered on or after 1st September 2001 the relevant dimensions are:
Character height – 64 mm.
Character width – 44 mm.
Space between two characters within group - 10 mm.
Horizontal space between groups - 30 mm.

I don’t know what the attitude of individual police officers would be. That’s another matter.

I had them on my astra but had a “D” rather than the “GB” I was ok for about 9 months then a retard policeman decided to try to have ago at me for speeding when I wasn’t, in fact the only thing he could have a pop at was the “DUTCH” plates as Holland wasn’t in the EU……………….. I did point out they where German style plates and they are in the EU along with Holland ( he didn’t like that! ) he informed the DVLA I found out as I had a letter in the post advising if they get a report of illegal use of number plates again they will revoke the car REG and place me on a “Q” plate.

TBH the Rado has only just put the front number plate on as it had a mot and the police haven’t even noticed after a year!

The risk is yours – on a standard ish looking car I personally think you will be fine but, id keep a spare £30 for the fine handy

But if you have to carry an extra £30 in your pocket and still pay out for correct plates when you get a tug from plod........then what is the point?
