The ACO have now published the full entry list for the classic and pretty mouth watering it looks too.

3 917s and a Saab 93 seem to be the star attractions!

I'll be there .. working of course  Wink

With Lemons test, raceweek, and the Classic (and a London to Paris bike ride wedged in between the latter two) that means trips to France for four weekends out of 7!!

Would anybody that is going, be able to do me a big favour. I assume there is access to the cars and drivers in the paddock ? If so, I have a Jacky Ickx  - 6 Le Mans wins , art print that to date i have had signed by all the winning drivers. Well all except Jurgen Barth who I have yet to see or meet at a race meeting.

I see that his name is down to race a Porsche 908 in batch 5. So could someone take the print with them to the classic along with a pencil and ask Jurgen to sign it for me. Once his signiture is obtained, I can finally get it framed and up on the wall.

Thanks.

Hi Chris

Please allow me to do the honour! Met him a few years back (when introduced to him by CA founder Dave Davies) and a thoroughly nice chap too. Sure I'd be able to get that sorted for you  Smiley

I believe I may have gotten wood when Eric Helary punted this round the curcuit on five heavenly demonstration laps at the Classic 06. Certainly a little involuntary squirt of weewee shot out into my pants when I was running to the trackside to confirm what the noise was. I seem to remember he was pretty much bang on the pace of comtemporary LM1 cars.

This must be one of the finest sounding LM cars ever of any era, right up there with the 512 and the Mazda 787B.

And sadly I missed that! Me and The Cutler were down in Rennes for the Tour De France time trial so missed the build up and the first few hours - never knew I'd missd it until just now .. you shall pay the price of your misgivings .. and yes, I will shoot the messenger  Wink

Wonder what they might have lined up for this year?  Grin

SAAB 93 back at Le Sarthe will be brilliant, there was supposed to be a second car built by Chris Partington here in the UK. I will give him a ring and see what happened to his entry Huh. His car buggered up our plans to enter one so I'm a little miffed that its not on the list.
Also looking forward to seeing the Howmet TX going round. Nice also to see the Pearless back again. I Cannot wait now, should be fantastico.

Any plans yet of a CA meet??

Trust the drinking trousers are in fine fettle and ready for a good old airing come June? ..... And July of course  Wink
