100€ should get something reasonable.  There are offers on from time to time too.  I'll have a decco when next in the Supermarkets, but LeClerc have the best range by far.

In Auchan today the cheapest full sized bike was 90€, reduced to 70.

If you're stuck for space on the way there you could get a foldup bike for less than £50 on Ebuyer
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/133164 wheels could be a bit small for the bumpy stuff but good for the rest Smiley

There is a bicycle shop on the north end of Le Mans that will rent bikes for
a reasonable amount. Can't recall the name.  You could check with the public information
office in Le Mans, or maybe a local here would know of it.
