Like the Jag on the back, and I think the current two colours looks fine, but the track is too much of a block of colour, it needs to be broken up a bit, somehow.

Absolutely. All that's done now is put a jpg through Adobe Streamliner, removed some of the back ground (banking) and gave it a colour. This is just the first rough scetch of how it will be.

As for rough scetches, this is how last year's shirt started...

Hi all,

first of all I think it's a very good idea to keep our basic design (white with blue-red stripes) from last year, easier to recognize other CAers. My suggestions for this year:

Front: Leave away both "Le Mans" and the overlapping "2008" digits on the red-blue stripes, both is written in this label on the other side of the chest anyway.

Back: The web address "www.clubarnage.com" is fine and a must, but instead of a picture of a racecar  I suggest a motto, e.g. "It will not rain again this year, will it???"   or    " 24 hours of le Mans - The most fun you can have with your trousers still on..."

Cheers

Werner

Del,

If you can personnalise the front for a small additional charge, can those of us who want it have the Union flag back?

I love the Jag on the back, but why not use the blue, stippled maybe, from the webaddress as the track colour and leave the car (with wheels and shadows) in purple

I think the stripes would look better without the 2008 on them (we have the year dated on the "tag" badge anyway) and with the proper club arnage logo that is on the sleeve in the top of the stripes area, as suggested by Mark.

But whichever the Jag looks stunning and follows nicely after last year's Ford

Nostalgia being what it is it'll soon be time for the no 7 Bentley...

I suppose this is the wrong time and place to say I'd prefer a Polo Shirt with the year on it?

Well in fact to be precise my wife would prefer me not to wear a T Shirt!  So I buy the T Shirt and it sits in the cupboard taking up space and not being worn as I know if I wear it, it will never emerge out of the ironing pile!

On aesthestic grounds I agree that the branding should be kept with the previous years, I'd prefer a current car on the back but if thats not possible the XJR will do.

I would like to suggest an alternative to the car design on the back.

I really liked the idea of the LM clock on the back, prehaps with it showing one minute to 4, ( or 3 if we wish to be up to date), with the 'Racing is life. Anything before or after is just waiting' quote underneath.

Thanks for all the constructive comments so far.  We'll re-do the front and I'll amend the preview asap.

Regarding the Union flag - I will pop into the printer in a few days time to ask what additional costs may be involved to put A flag on the left sleeve.  I hope to be able to offer to put any flag on as an option.

I have to agree. The front looks spot on but maybe something different on the back that represents the CA community???

The front was changed to what it is now and everyone thought it was an improvement... reverting back to previous design seems futile... after all you are only going to get pixxed and spill beer on them. I feel a camel coming on... If there really does need to be a change you could always go down the route of the olympic design, but remember the constraints of screen printing.
