Dad, if you've won the lottery - then make sure you pay for my house.

Naturally if it's me that's won the lottery, then once I've given mummy and daddy about £300, then I'd go out and buy:

Everyday road use:     Aston Martin DB9 or the old Square Vantage
Fun for the weekend:  Ferrari 250 GTO SWB,  Probably an Enzo as well  and that weird thing that Jason Plato set light to, and JC managed to break - oh and a team of engineers in a van following behind me.

I'd also buy a double decker bus, strip the top deck out, and put 4-5 beds and a shower in place, strip the bottom out, and plumb a bar, complete with beer on tap, and multiple plasma's with satellite TV.

I'd probably buy 5 of those, and rent them out to you lot!

Oh and a Supermarine Spitfire and a 60'sex-Ferrari race transporter, and a nice Riva Aquarama boat.

That's a pretty good list Doctor, and one that'd be hard to improve.

I am however, a little puzzled by your reference to sex in the sixties. As far as I remember, it was pretty much the same as sex these days. Except more furtive and with strange feelings of guilt.

An old VX4.2 Land crusier for the shooting. An Audi RS6 Avant for the golf, Oh and a Hummer for the wife on the school run(what carbon footprint). I would have to test drive all the fancy stuff till I find the right one.

Family car: DBS, the kids and any gear can go with the nanny in her car.

Le Mans: road going 917, one of the two that were built for the Martini family by Porsche.

SL LWB 500: so the chauffeur can pick me up from any pub or party and I can go to sleep in the back.

I thought you might go for something a bit more stylish than that Barry.

For me I think LM was at it's best in the mid-late 90's when Porsche, Toyota, Nissan, Mercedes (and some ageing Mclaren F1) were there going for the win. (never mind that a notable F1 commentator stuffed most of them gearbox first into the wall at Mulsanne 1)
There are hardly any lidless cars in the lists below which is exactly why Le Mans should return to it's roots of proper GT racing. It would certainly not be an Audi R10 for me.
Everyday motoring: AM DBR9 - one of those nice new ones with the Gulf Colours, or maybe in BRG, or both - what the hell I won the lottery!
Fun Days and going to LM: I'd get back my old 1963 AEC Regent 5 Half cab double deck bus (Rhino - I put a bar in the bottom deck and we went to LM 5 times in it - took a while but they were epic trips
High days: I think the 96 911 Porsche LMGT1 was the best looking racing car ever (could be controversial but it's my money). I'd sure like to have a decent hoon in one.

If I won a big roll-over on the lottery. I know exactly what I would do with it...........

50%......This would be spent on good wine, beautifull women and various cars,

50%...... I'd just fritter that away.

But would I tell the misses? No way. I would give her £1k out of savings and tell her to go on holiday, but don't bother comming back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will be mostly copyin' Mark's list

But I will just have the Midge resprayed by a proper paint splasher

And yes I would like a double decker bus too, just in case that Una Stubbs wants to come to Le Mans with me and Kylie

Plasma telly up and down though (and aircon, 'cos LM's gonna be a hottie this year)

Gary, want to sell your office?  Wink

Suppose I'd better have a decent old mk11 Cortina estate for Rory the springer to travel in style, too

OK – I’ve won the lottery what would I get, well

One of these – 13/60                                                                                A Traction Avant

One of these, cause why not – I could drive to Le Mans          One of these – a big F@@k Off RV
(yes someone has taken 2 of these across the Channel)

for Le Mans -                                                                           One of these – for work

and as you can’t drive anymore due to the traffic and camera’s.
One of these - And I would learn to fly it as well (have more fun)

oh for nice sunny days

and

and then there is my “something for the weekend” collection.  Grin

Tomorrows euro millions jackpot is £41,000,000.

that would allow for:

Ferrari 250 GT SWB in silver with red leather.

Dodge Charger Daytona in orange or original race livery if available... or a rat looker.. but solid runnings.

Mclaren F1 Longtail in Gulf colours..as in C&S back along for POA!

Lambo Lm 002 in Yellow

Porker RS 2.7 Ducktail in Blood orange.

Miura in Kermit green... (THe one that was at FOS 2 years ago on the front lawn)

Renault 5 Turbo2

HSV Grange, Senator or Diplomat or HSV HRT Monaro that was grounded by Oz government. LM corvette engined stripped out Monaro with 600+ at wheels and no gadgets. (I have a brochure I stole from Shacks Holden in Fremantle and the issue of Australian muscle car with announcment of it being withdrawn) $$$$

Low mile one owner Sierra Sapphire Cosworth in moonstone blue.

Ford XB Gt Falcon in Purple with silver stripes.

69? Holden Monaro with the sharks gill wings.

Ferrari 250 GTO (Kiss Mick Masons ASS)

The Bentley S2 my Dad had when I was born.

Merc 500 6.9.. Dad drove one and said it laid the best black lines ever... without trying.

Lambo Espada. In Gold. Like the really rusty and filler covered one in poole a few years back. Smoked like a tramp but sounded awesome.

Fiat Strada Turbo... if there are any left!

Fiat 131 SuperMiafiori(?) Twin cam rear wheel drive heaven in the wet!

Granada Mk1 Coupe in Purple metallic. Just to taunt the banger racers.

Nissan President. 4L v8. Ex Embassy saxo waster.

Zil 115. The holy grail of big and ugly in my book. 3 tonnes of paisly velour and a 7.9 v8 at the best. Turning circle of a tanker but fur kmee would it look cool at LM. (Non Available)

Porsche 924 "Le Mans" edition. They were total sh*t but there is one in pompey that is immaculate. looks cool with the rainbow graphics.

Droop Snoot Firenza.

Rover SDI Twin Plenum V8... Without water in the glovebox and fuseboard. oh and manual!

1970 Hemi Challenger in White

1969 Hemi Super Bee in Purple

1969 Hemi Road Runner in Lime Green

Road runner Superbird in any colour.

Vanden Plas 4.0LR, manual in black, as was in Lymington a few years back.

Leyland P76. The one that was in lymington in a showroom for years..it was brown and had the same plate as featured in the 70's mags as the '71 motor show car. Total crap but with huge V8. Bet it got banger raced.

Ferrari 400i manual. As sat in my local garage, has been for years, last time seen moving was belching smoke due to 2 stroke oil being added to the bores to stop it binding up in storage.

Nissan 300c Saloon.Silver. Raided for ignition parts to get my Black estate to LM 06. Soon to be on the road again!
