Hammer didn't fix it. Must be electrical fault.

My mate who always organises our LM camping got a postcard from Just Tickets this morning, saying that demand for next year is hotting up and they'd advise buying early.

So he called them this morning and they said the Maison Blanche camping tickets are all sold already! This year, we were in Camping Bleu since we couldn't get MB tickets, but the overspill park (adjoining the drag strip/main road) was half full if that.

Huh!

It's quite normal that MB is sold out already...

... I know someone who book for 300 tickets, hoping he would have some of it !  Wink

Wow...possible that we have at least SOME allocation then . They might have allocated everything that wasn't already allocated in MB.

I'l update if I hear anything...

Hopelessly optimistic Smokie if you don't mind me saying so!

In my considered opinion, I would venture to suggest that CA will be allocated precisely f**k all tickets on MB.

Hope I'm wrong though.

I can see the letter from the ACO now:

Dear Smokie, you are on the liste d'attente for 300 Maison Blanche camping permits but we can offer you 300 Beausejour camping permits. However, we will not send you anything until you cancel the liste d'attente for Maison Blanche.

Then, a week before the race:

Dear Smokie, we now have 300 Maison Blanche permits available. Would you like them!?!?!

I am sure that in Beausejour there was an old caravan near the entrance with official ACO notices, selling campsite passes.  They werent there on the Wednsday...

Anyway... sure there would be a lot of happy people further down the waiting list Grin

I think it may also be that Just Tickets have sold "their" aloocation of MB passes. They had a note on their web site saying that all ACO camping was sold out by January 4th when in fact the ACO still had plenty of Beausejour and Technoparc tickets available.

It helps to feed the desperation for tickets and sell what they have left, but I think the ACO did that for them....

I had a postcard sent by Just tickets last week saying to book now to avoid dissapointment. Unfortunately as I havn't been paid since I got back I am still totally skint!!

I personally think the you could have bought tickets on the HOUX campsite not Annexe on the Saturday morning.

I think that the Houx on saturday night was only 70% full!!

We arrived Saturday AM at Beausejour, the nice lady in the caravan had a 2" thick wedge of camping tickets for sale - we had a long walk to catch the free bus to the entrance but we did have a full field all to ourselves and very underpopulated bogs.
