Can anyone offer any info on this race?  One of my friends is looking at going.

Well Doris, I'm mainly replying because no-one else has....

This race is very crowded or should I say well attended.  There is camping in the infield but most people watch from the grandstands.  Hotels in the area book up fast and there is some outside camping available also.  Weather is usually cool to good.  I have been to the track many times for the 24 Hours of Daytona but not to an actual Daytona 500 race although most of my friends have gone (some annually) and of course we watch on TV every year.  What questions do you have?  You could probably get good information from the folks on SebringFans.com.

I would of thought Chris 24 would have answered this by now, he is a big NASCAR fan and I`m sure he has been to the 500.

Been several times.FTM hit it right on the head. There is an emormous amount of people everywhere.
It is a great race, and a terrific time.I strongly suggest they get Front Straight Grandstand tickets, the higher the better.A little extra money spent on better seats is worth it in my opinion[they are a little farther apart]so more room. The hotels in the area will require 3 or 4 day min.stay.
If I can be of any help in any way, just let me know.Cause any friends of yours are friends of mine.
